Alvaro's Garage Doors LLC fixes and replaces garage doors out of Monroe, CT. The company describes itself as a local, family-owned team serving Fairfield County and says it has been in business 15 years. When one customer's old wooden door snapped a cable, Patrick came out later that day to give an estimate and raised the door so the car could get out; the in-stock doors were installed in 2 days. A customer whose belt had come off got same-day service, and the entire rail was replaced. Patrick replaced a keypad for one customer after another company said it could not fix it, and also changed the door sensors and replaced the gasket. One customer had a spring fixed, a new motor installed and the bottom seal replaced. A customer whose opener quit wrote that Patrick the owner gave the price up front and left the garage cleaner than when he started. In a 2025 review, a customer said a torsion spring broke on a Saturday morning, a call at 10:00 AM brought a technician out, and the repair was done by 12:30 PM. A 2025 customer said an install ran harder than expected because of uneven concrete, and they stayed extra hours to install and seal the doors. That 2025 customer said Patrick checked in afterwards and helped program the codes and buttons. In a 2★ review, a customer said the free quote was on the high end of reasonable and the diagnosis turned out wrong, and that he cancelled the appointment mid-conversation. That customer went with a competitor who fixed the door for about half the price Alvaro's quoted. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0645400, as active, held by Alvaro's Garage Doors LLC.
Quick, same day service to fix our garage door. Belt had come off due to a problem with part of the rail. Came and replaced the entire rail - worked with me on price. Glad I called them and will return if I have any more issues!
When one of our old, wooden garage doors and dated automatic door opener snapped a cable, I called Alvaro's. They called back within minutes and later that day Patrick came to give us an estimate and, also kindly raised the door so I could get my car out. They suggested doors that were in-stock and the installation was complete in 2 days. The new doors look great and the new openers are so much quieter. We look forward to a warmer gagarge this winter. Call Alvaro's before you have an issue like we did! They are fabulous!
Showed up early and started banging out removal of old garage doors. The work was completed before lunch with quality and efficiency. They left the work area near spotless when they left. Super simple process and communication was frequent and information accurate. I’d recommend them to anyone.
Patrick is a pleasure to work with, he has made all the difference in helping me sort the details of my purchase. The company is “prima”, “top de Top”. I feel fortunate to have found the company, not knowing how to choose from the other firms.
We couldn’t be happier with our new garage door! The entire process was seamless from start to finish, and the team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. The installation looks fantastic, and the new door completely transformed the look of our home. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and great service!
