AM Equipment, LLC

AM Equipment works at road scale. Out of Charlestown, it does MassDOT and asphalt paving, underground utilities, site work, concrete foundations and flatwork, with a sister office — AM Equipment NY LLC — in Hogansburg, New York. Its masthead calls it a Native-owned company, and a canton.edu article names Andre White as its owner. Three certifications are active with the agencies that issue them: Massachusetts' Supplier Diversity Office holds its Minority Business Enterprise certification (#20200082) and its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification (#20200020) as active, and the SBA's 8(a) Business Development certification (#125969) is active too. The company also says it is MassDOT prequalified. A June 2024 Equipment World article put the company at 20 employees across two locations — the Massachusetts side on heavy highway, concrete, paving and site prep, the New York office on building construction — and listed it among 12 finalists. Its Better Business Bureau page carries an A+ grade, though the company is not BBB accredited. One thing to square before calling: the BBB profile describes a far smaller operation than that article does — a sole proprietorship with a single employee, four years in business, with Andris Rieksts as manager. Ask who will run your job and what crew comes with it. And since the work described here is highway, utility and site scale, ask up front whether a project your size is one they take.
