The work is masonry in the load-bearing sense: repointing old foundations and chimneys, rebuilding front steps in granite and brick, patios and walkways, and the thread that runs furthest back, keeping water out of basements. A homeowner writing in June 2026 described the crew repointing and repairing a 250-year-old basement wall. Another that same month had garage and basement walls cleaned up and the water flow outside the house redirected to stop moisture building below. Ten reviews have landed in the past six months and none of them is negative. Durability is the claim the older accounts actually test. In a June 2025 review, a customer said a 20-by-30-foot patio with a retaining wall, installed twelve years earlier, had not sunk at all — and that after a phone question about maintenance, Jim turned up a week later to walk him through it. A March 2020 Angi reviewer had a hundred-year-old foundation repointed for $23,000 and said the final price landed within $300 of the estimate. Ask to see a cured sample against your own brick and get the mix agreed in writing, and ask for the estimate itemised — several customers describe the final price holding close to it on large repointing jobs.
