American Air is a Tewksbury HVAC company that installs and maintains central air, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini-splits and duct systems, carrying an A+ Better Business Bureau grade and a 4.8-star average across 272 Google reviews. What stands out across dozens of recent reviews is how fast the company answers: customers describe same-day or next-day appointments even during peak summer heat, and one recent review recounts a Friday-night after-hours call that got a technician out within the hour. Customers keep naming the same technicians by name — Mark Giordano and Wander Martinez show up again and again, along with Julie in scheduling — a small, consistent field crew rather than a rotating cast. One recent review described a technician tracking down the actual cause of an AC problem right after another company had charged $300 just to say the unit needed replacing. In a November 2025 review, a customer credited a technician with finding a dead mouse behind a broken inducer motor — the real, cheap fix — after a competitor had already recommended replacing the whole furnace. Larger jobs draw similar marks: a January 2026 review described a full duct-work replacement finished cleanly with the crew cleaning up afterward. The complaints, when they appear, cluster around price and a few slower-moving jobs. A 2024 review flagged what felt like an 80% year-over-year jump in a maintenance-plan price even though the technician's actual work wasn't in question. Two other 2024 reviews described a mini-split installation at a business that was never done correctly, and a $900 initial service charge tied to a wire repair that took more than two months to arrive. An older, 2021 review said the company hadn't supplied requested documentation on an installed system nine months later and mentioned weighing legal steps to resolve it. A June 2026 review reported ongoing trouble with two rooftop units installed back in January 2024. And in one May 2026 review, a technician did good, five-star work, but the four-hour arrival window was missed without notice — the customer said it was the second time that had happened. American Air looks like the right call for both routine HVAC maintenance and full system installs, especially with well-liked recurring techs. Given the handful of pricing and scheduling complaints on record, it's worth asking for a firm price and arrival window up front.
We had American Air put in a mini split for us back in 2022 and have received maintenance on it annually. Today, we had a technician name Mark come out who was awesome. He was on time, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and polite and did a great job cleaning our split. I highly recommend using American Air for all your HVAC needs!
My request for service was filled in less than 2 days - and at the height of summer, that is a big win! My technician immediately saw there was a problem and worked diligently to identify the reason and provided a solution. He was not satisfied until he knew that the issue was 100% resolved.
Called after regular business hours on a Friday night. They got a technician out within a hour. Wander the Tec. Was tremendous. His diagnosis of the problem was spot on. I had an electrical issue that was affecting the operation of the A.C. He even called two days later to see how I made out. He is a credit to the company. Paul Norton
I called 6:30pm and they responded. The technician was friendly, polite, and very professional. I can tell that knew what he was doing. He fixed my AC, after explaining the issue clearly. I highly recommend American Air Tewksbury . If you’re luck, you will have the technician Mark Giordano.
Wander was friendly, on time, and had lots of good ideas for prevention. Very happy with his service.
