I am posting this review in the hopes it helps other first-time homebuyers navigate a challenging HVAC situation and avoid this mistake. We recently moved into a 1963 home built on a slab foundation with no basement. The house had old ductwork running through the slab, and we worked with Kyle to replace the old gas furnace with a whole-house Samsung heat pump using the existing ducts. We had been advised by a couple other people to use the existing ducts, but we (and they) were unaware of their condition. During our first winter, it became clear the underground ductwork was compromised. The system produced strong, unpleasant, musty odors, circulated air poorly, and struggled to heat the home. Our electric bill skyrocketed while the house remained uncomfortable. When I raised these concerns, Kyle seemed defensive. He said he had been hesitant to use our existing ducts, noting that the slab connection was rusted out during installation. We did not know how rusted it was until after the system was already installed. As first-time homeowners, we relied on professional guidance about the risks of decades-old underground ductwork, and would have greatly benefitted from a stronger recommendation to not use the existing ducts. The only real solution discussed was installing an entirely new system and abandoning the existing ductwork, without any kind of courtesy discount or offer of financial support. This ended up being a costly endeavor to install a new system with new ducts.

Kyle helped us out in pinch when our furnace needed replacing in the middle of winter. He was able to get us in very quickly and completed all the work in a day. He and his team are very professional and easy to work with. They show up when they say they will and I would highly recommend them.
