In order to give our daughter a legal bedroom, we switched her then bedroom (a meager 8x6) with the bathroom and hall closet at the other end of the floor. It was a project I had been contemplating for ten years and actively planning for the last five. With Skip Miller and American Dreamwrights, I had the perfect team to make this all come together. Skip listened to all my ideas (both reasonable and not so much) and helped figure out the finer details as well as suggesting enhancements that never occurred to me. What we wound up with was something that exceeded my expectations while staying true to the design. Skip and his crew were able to maximize the bathroom footprint - including ensuring that the plumbing fit within the walls without having the bump them out - as well as helping increase the square footage of the new bedroom. While the bathroom is smaller than what it was in its original location, we have more storage and a more open space than before. And while my daughter's bedroom is still on the small side, it's well above the required minimum of 70 sq ft and has plenty of storage. Losing almost the entirety of the second floor during construction could've been a traumatic experience, but American Dreamwrights made sure the impact was minimized. Not once did my wife or I feel like things were spiraling out of control or that we were second fiddle to another project. My only regret is not having hired American Dreamwrights earlier. In late November 2019, our second floor bathroom flooded, necessitating a near-complete renovation of the kitchen below. We found Skip and American Dreamwrights through our long standing electrician. I could not have made a better decision. Skip was great to work with and made sure we got the most from our budget. He and his crew were prompt and went above and beyond on an almost daily basis. Their attention to detail was a constant joy. I'll continue to work with Skip on future projects. [Update: Turns out in addition to all this, he and his crew fixed one of the kitchen windows, which previously didn't close properly. So if you want someone to fix broken things because he knows they need to be fixed, Skip's your guy.]

What can I say about Skip and his guys? Well, they were incredibly talented, incredibly professional, in control of a great group of subcontractors who share the same passion for detail, and true to their word every step of the way. They just completed a full-scale kitchen and dining room project from demolition to finish details. The work far exceeded our expectations and we would be thrilled to use them again in the future. In a world where contractors are hard to trust, Skip is at the top of his game! Choosing him is a sure fire win!

We got Skip's name from the designer we hired to draw plans for our master bath remodel. We spoke with numerous contractors and made the wise decision to use American Dreamwrights. Skip was great to work with as were all of the professionals who regularly work with him- plumbers, electricians, plasterers/painters etc. During the course of the project from demolition to finishes, some unexpected issues arose that required some creative problem solving. Skip worked with us to come up with solutions while maintaining the intent and aesthetics of the original design. The finished bathroom is gorgeous and a real tribute to his ability to coordinate a complicated project as well as to the expert craftsmanship of everyone working with him.

Skip and his crew did an excellent good remodeling our kitchen. They stuck to the timeline, even through a bitterly cold winter, and paid attention to every detail.
