In a June 2025 Google review, a couple building a home wrote that American Drywall – Wendy Florence and Dave – stepped in and took over their project when their previous builder walked away, and that the company honored its timelines. American Drywall LLC is based on Day Street in Brooklyn, Connecticut; its site describes a family-owned and women-owned business, in business since 2002, doing drywall for new home construction, home improvement and commercial jobs. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0660201, is active with the state, held by American Drywall LLC. On Google it holds 4 stars from 4 ratings. In a December 2021 review, a fellow contractor in the area wrote that they had recently started using American Drywall, that everything stayed on schedule, and that they were informed of any changes to the schedule. That reviewer recommended Dave and American Drywall to anyone in the area looking to get work done.
We truly couldn’t have done it without American Drywall – Wendy Florence and Dave. My husband and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to build. Not only are they the best drywall company around, but they are fully licensed to handle construction from start to finish. They deliver high-quality work and honor their timelines. In this industry, that’s rare and invaluable. They stepped in and took over our project when our previous builder walked away — they didn’t have to, but they did it to help our family. That says everything about who they are. They're not just skilled professionals, they’re incredible people who stand by their word and their work. If you’re planning to build, do yourself a favor and look them up. You won’t be disappointed!
The guy who left a one star doesn’t deserve to leave a review. If a contractor is good, they get busy it’s that simple. And to leave a one star and not even get any work done by these guys? Lol. Sounds like a cry baby to me. I am a fellow contractor in the area and I recently started using American Drywall. The work is very good in terms of quality, and everything stayed on schedule. I was informed of any changes to the schedule, which is a big deal when you’re relying on sub contractors to meet deadlines. I would recommend Dave and American Drywall to anyone in the area looking to get work done. Two thumbs up 👍👍……. Pictures to come
