A recent Google customer said that after two visits where the valves were 'cleaned', the pressure problem on certain zones was never resolved for more than 24 hours, $850 later, and that a promised call back from the Service/Operations Manager never came. A recent Google customer recalled a job from many years ago in which clamps on water pipes failed and the pipes sprayed inside the mechanical room; the company did repair the system once it figured out what was happening, though that customer found the owner rude until he figured it out. A 2025 Google customer said they had used the company for several years for the installation and yearly open/close services, and that Edwin offered a quick and very reasonable solution to a small issue. A 2022 Google customer said technician Terry was very thorough in diagnosing and fixing problems in the system. A 2023 Angi customer said Dennis was knowledgeable and easy to work with, and that the people who did the installation were courteous and professional. In a 2018 Angi review, a customer said a crew installed a full yard sprinkler system in lawn and flower beds, kept the disruption to a minimum and completed the work on time. A 2016 Angi customer said Dennis and his crew of 6 installed a sprinkler system on a 1/4 acre property in one day. A 2021 Angi customer said Dennis, the owner, came out with a drip-line quote 50% higher than the verbal quote and hung up during a call about the breakdown. A 2013 Angi customer who hired the company to add drip lines said other problems were fixed without permission, and advised being clear about what work is authorized.
Many years ago I had a terrible experience with American Irrigation Systems. They were remarkably disrespectful around its dysfunction. Eventually we learned that they had used clamps on water pipes that failed and rather than sprinkling outside in the garden the pipes were leaking and spraying inside the mechanical room. They did repair the system once they figured out what was happening. At the time I had a housekeeper/babysitter at our home who described them as "dumb and dumer". I found the owner rude until he figured it out.
-Stopped responding and never fixed the problem- I called American Irrigation Systems to diagnose and fix pressure issues related to certain zones in my sprinkler system not properly closing. After two visits where they 'cleaned' the valves, the problem was never resolved for more than 24 hours and now they won't call me back. I called twice and was told the Service/Operations Manager would call me back ... never heard from them again. $850 later they never solved the problem, never provided a quote for new valves and lost a customer. Would not recommend. **In response to the owner's message to my original post - this is the correct company in Ridgefield, CT. Thanks for the nickname though - Bozo was a great clown. I do need to fix this, so updating my review to confirm this was the correct company. I have the receipt if you need a copy. Appreciate it.
I have been with American Irrigation Systems for several years now, after the installation and for yearly open/close services. Recently I had a small issue and Edwin offered a quick and very reasonable solution. This is a very high quality company and I cannot say enough about how they work with customers, highly recommended. Charles
I called American Irrigation Systems to look over my sprinkler system that was having pressure loss issues. They were always able to have a technician to my house the next day, which was great. The first time, they 'cleaned the valves' and 'fixed' the issue. The problem occurred the next day again. The second time they 'cleaned more valves' and 'fixed' the problem. Great - $850 in and I think our system is fixed. Nope. Now one month later, two calls to them and a promise the Service/Operations Manager will call me back ... crickets. You lost a customer right there. I would not recommend this company based on their lack of response and based on the o-rings left off after 'cleaning the valves.' Save yourself some money and look elsewhere.
