Amici Development

Amici’s customers describe whole-house painting, popcorn-ceiling removal and smaller repairs, alongside broader remodeling work. A recent homeowner said the crew painted a newly purchased home’s interior within a tight moving schedule. Another October 2026 reviewer praised replacement and repainting of rotted wood siding, including a close paint match. Google shows 4.8 stars from 85 ratings, while Thumbtack shows 4.9 from 84. The Bloomfield company is led by Dan, whom customers identify as the owner. Painting customers often describe his site visits and communication. In September 2026, a homeowner credited the team with repainting a 2,300-square-foot interior and its ceilings, with Dan supervising progress. A July 2026 repeat customer said two bathrooms were redone on time and within budget, with daily check-ins and clean-up. Another July customer described a roof replacement completed in under a day. Several dated complaints raise specific concerns. In March 2026, a homeowner alleged that renovation work begun in May 2025 remained unfinished in November, with projects still incomplete when they wrote. They described missing deck handrails affecting a refinancing appraisal, payments made in full, missing contracts for later work and verbally abusive communication. An April 2025 customer alleged that popcorn removal and painting left unwanted paint on floors, fixtures, windows, doors and other surfaces. They said the company denied responsibility and that they were spending thousands more to repaint and replace damaged items. A September 2025 reviewer was pleased with most interior painting and carpet work, but complained of bathroom paint splatter on tiles, wood trim and doors. That customer still praised the schedule and communication. Other customers describe completed follow-up and repeat hires. In March 2026, a cabinet-painting customer said Alex returned several times for touch-ups and ensured they were happy with the result. In November 2025, another homeowner described porch and step repairs, a new mudroom floor and kitchen-ceiling work after earlier problems with a different contractor. An October 2026 customer described a same-day patch to a ceiling hole, with sanding and painting planned after the compound dried. Amici’s Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is expired; the registry describes it as inactive because the holder does not wish to renew.
