Anania Plumbing & Heating Inc is a Brockton-area plumbing and heating contractor that homeowners on the South Shore call for water heaters, boilers, drains and gas work. The company says on its own site that it has served the Metro South area since 1989 — more than 35 years — and describes itself as locally and family-owned; the Better Business Bureau's file independently lists the business as started and incorporated on 6/14/1989, 37 years in business, with 22 employees. Its Massachusetts plumbing licence, 4000-PL-C, is verified active against the state registry under the exact name Anania Plumbing And Heating Inc, so the credential is this business's own rather than a directory's claim. Google publishes a 4.8-star average from 24 ratings, and the reviews on file describe concrete jobs rather than generic praise: a corroded copper-to-iron drain section cut out and replaced in about an hour, a hot water tank replaced with a plumber on site within two hours, a boiler and water heater swapped over several years for the same household, frozen pipes, a kitchen sink and a basement bath with an ejector pump. Named technicians — Mike, Mike Keene, Kevin Allen — recur across separate reviews, and two long-time customers say they have used the company for 20 and 25 years, which is the shape of a real repeat-customer base rather than a burst of solicited five-stars. The one thing worth asking about is documentation. A 1-star Google review from May 2026 describes a visit arranged through a landlord for an ongoing water intrusion problem in which the plumber gave no clear verbal findings, no written report and no follow-up — a communication and paperwork complaint rather than one about the plumbing work itself, and one that came from a tenant rather than the paying customer. Trade coverage of the Brockton Hospital rebuild after the 2023 electrical fire names Anania among the project's trade partners, which points to substantial commercial work alongside the residential calls; a court-records aggregator also lists a 2023 employee-benefit suit brought against the company by a union pension fund, which is worth confirming directly if it matters to you. Address records disagree — the state licence and reviews are current, but BuildZoom, Procore and the BBB all still list 22 Court Ave while the company's own site is headed West Bridgewater, and a 2018 news report said the Court Ave building was sold and the business relocated. Confirm the current shop address, the scope of your job in writing, and ask for the written assessment up front, and this is a well-credentialed, long-established plumbing outfit for water heater, boiler, gas and drain work in the Brockton area.

Needed a my 2" copper drain to Iron stack fixed. They melted the original corroded pipe section out and put in a new piece of copper. Took about an hour. Price and workmanship were excellent. I strongly recommend this business for your home plumbing needs.
My experience with Anania Plumbing & Heating 5/29/26 , involved a plumber dispatched through my landlord in response to an ongoing water intrusion and plumbing issue affecting bathroom functionality and sanitation conditions. The plumber conducted a brief assessment but did not provide clear verbal findings, a written report, or any documented explanation of the issue. I was advised to continue using the bathroom despite unresolved conditions affecting habitability. Following the visit, there was no follow-up communication or clarification regarding the problem or any recommended repairs. Additionally, no plumber license number or identifying certification information was provided during the service visit or included in any documentation, raising concerns about transparency and accountability. Given that this involves essential plumbing and potential health-related habitability concerns, the lack of communication, documentation, and professional follow-through was concerning.
