This company is not reliable. Scheduled 4pm to 6pm. Not there. Asked me to wait, still not there after 7:30Pm. Very unprofessional.
Zoom Drain came right away and unclogged two backed up toilets. I was very stressed out! Cameron was very polite and professional and I was so happy and relieved. It took him a little more than an hour to complete the job. Fast, friendly and inexpensive ($660.00). I would highly recommend Zoom Drain. It was worth every penny. Thank you Cam!
I have scheduled a call with Zoom Drain. Even before their scheduled call, They suggested and shared some troubleshooting tips with me, which helped me to resolve the sump Pump issue. This shows their committed professionalism towards customer and their competency to resolve any technical issues. I really appreciate their service and would highly recommend them. Excellent service Zoom Drain.
I had a leaking pipe in the basement. George sent one of his crew to take a look and told me it's gonna be 3-4 hours work and it's gonna be $1450. It actually took two of his crew like 30 minutes. Cut open the old pipe, put a new piece on, seal and done. Still charged me $1450, because George "never said the price was based on the time" and "we got it done fast, you should be happy!" Updates: I see the owner replied and insisted saying they just sent more crew and got it done faster. I want to clearly: they were there for about 30 minutes. Even if you count 3 people (and one of them just did marginal work of cutting pipe), there was only 90 minutes of work time. This is way off from the proposed 3-4 hour (180-240 minutes). It's a HUGH difference. Also, no matter how you calculated it, the FACT is it was a simple work: cut off the leaking piece, put on a new piece, seal, done. I attached a picture of the work: adding this part of the pipe (the black part) to replace the leak piece. $1450 for this work. No matter how you put it, there are only two simple questions about this work: do you honestly and professionally think this should take 3-4 hours even if you use one worker? Does this kind of job usually take you 3-4 hours to finish? Anyway, George of Zoom drain made me believe that it was going to be a complicated work and would take 3-4 hours. I believed it. Definitely my bad. I had no problem paying for my own mistake, I paid $1450. I just hope whoever reads this doesn't have to pay nearly $1500 for this kind of work. I'm not writing this review to argue with the business owner, I'm writing down my experience for potential customers' reference. People should have their own judgement on how much this work should be charged, and whether you would like to have this kind of experience, especially this pricing tactics.
Of the 3 drain companies that I contacted, Zoom Drain was reliable and prompt. Chris F took care of the problem and was very pleasant. Highly recommend.
