Anthony Vanaria & Sons is a family-owned landscaping company based in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a history reaching back to 1939 according to a local account. Its public profiles describe landscape services and work such as lawn care, patios, pathways, retaining walls, and related hardscaping. Recent customer accounts are sharply mixed. Several 2024 Angi customers praised patio, pathway, lawn, and landscaping work, citing clear estimates, professional crews, and work completed on schedule. The same period includes multiple one-star Google complaints alleging property damage, debris, excessive noise, and an offensive interaction involving a worker. The company is a fit for homeowners seeking established local landscaping and hardscaping experience, but the conflicting accounts warrant a careful pre-booking conversation. Ask for a written scope, protection plan for nearby property, crew conduct expectations, and references for comparable work before authorizing a project.

This morning, my wife was driving home from work on Felton Street when a worker pulled out behind her tailgate and aggressively called her a derogatory term. When she attempted to address the individuals in the trailer, they informed her that no one drives a Ford in that area. In response, she took a photograph of a work vehicle in the parking lot, which is indeed a Ford. I strongly advise against patronizing this business due to its discriminatory and disrespectful behavior towards women in the neighborhood. This incident is not an isolated occurrence.
Broke several planters while mulching 5 yards away. Seems like intentional vandalism.
They are loud and obnoxious. Try actually picking up a rake. And be considerate about the people around you enough are the gas power motors going for hours at a time. You're hired to do a job but not annoy the residents
Had my car parked in Briar Glen Village in waltham while i was redoing a bathroom. I had my window cracked and this fine group of gentlemen thought it was proper to put trash off the street in my window, then place more trash under the wiper blade of the car next to me. Confronted them about it and responded with 'no me'. He knew.
Great company & great people! Gabby is always so sweet to interact with & extremely accommodating. I can’t recommend this business enough!
