Ask about pools and you get one answer; ask about the last five years and you get another. AQRS Contractors works out of Haverhill, where its BBB page — accredited since March 2026, graded A+ — describes a four-person sole proprietorship in business since February 2023, handling lawn irrigation, basement waterproofing, pool service, and home water and air filtration. The recent work people talk about is pools. On Thumbtack, where the page shows 4.3 across six ratings and 13 hires, one customer this June described a pump that seized over the winter, calls to two other outfits that went to voicemail, and a new pump and motor installed within days of reaching Christine. Another in May had the full package replaced — pump, filter, heater, liner — and credited Joe for walking through the equipment choices. A third called the crew fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. Not everything lands. The same page carries an April complaint from a homeowner who got a knowledgeable estimator at the house and then no estimate at all, through two unanswered follow-up emails. The older history on Angi and HomeAdvisor runs rougher than the recent Thumbtack stretch: those pages sit at 0.5 from a single review and 3.6 from seven, with complaints about projects that stalled and communication that dried up. There is also a real puzzle in the paper trail worth clearing up on the call. The Haverhill listings describe three years in business; the Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles carry a Billerica address at 406 Boston Rd, claim 25 and 37 years of experience, and the HomeAdvisor page is a renamed Water Craft Pools and Spas listing. Same name on the page, different business facts underneath. AQRS is a sensible call for pool service and equipment swaps — the recent, specific praise is all about that work getting done quickly and explained clearly. Before committing to anything larger, get the estimate in writing with a date attached, ask who pulls the permit, and ask directly whether the Billerica listings belong to them.

Removed the pool cover, got the Chemicals, turned on the pump motor, only to find that it must have seized up over the winter, Called my local pool guy got his voice mail, left a message. Called another company got the same. I Looked thru yelp, found a great review for AQRS, Called and to my surprise Christine answered, I told her the issues and within 4 days they were at my house with a new pump and motor, within a couple of hours they were finished. I am very satisfied and will be giving them all my pool repairs. I highly recommend them.

We had AQRS handle the complete pool replacement package, including the pump, filter, heating system, and liner. When you speak with Joe, you'll learn about the R&D processes behind the top-quality equipment that he and his team install, as well as their signature extended guarantee of high-quality service. Joe's expertise is truly invaluable in today's world, where many so-called professionals are quick to cut corners and replace essential elements with unnecessary ones for the sake of convenience. His commitment to excellence and thoroughness sets him apart, ensuring that you receive nothing but the best service tailored to your needs.

The person coming to the house for an estimate was very nice and knowledgeable, after a week no estimate was sent so we emailed, the response was that they were very busy and an estimate will be send by end of day tomorrow the latest. Since nothing was sent I emailed again a couple of days after and no response. Not a good way to do business and a waste of people's time

We had Aquatic Resources replace the liner, pump and filter on my pool. Best decision ever! Their professionalism and punctuality was the best.

What does basement waterproofing cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from AQRS Contractors. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Not sure which you need? Start with an inspection — many reputable companies assess free, and independent assessments run up to $500.
The wall run getting the drain — a full 30×40 ft basement is about 140 ft.
Estimated range
$7,600 – $15,000
Typical waterproofing project around $11,300
