One homeowner opened their pool in June 2026, found the pump seized over the winter, and had AQRS Contractors at the house with a new pump and motor within four days of calling — finished in a couple of hours. That is the kind of job this company gets hired for. It works from 18 New Hampshire Ave in Haverhill, Massachusetts as a sole proprietorship with four employees under owner Christine McDonald, doing pool service, basement waterproofing, lawn irrigation and home water filtration. BBB accredited it in March 2026 and grades it A+. On Thumbtack it holds 4.0 from eight reviews and says it has been hired thirteen times. Customers this spring and summer describe a complete pool replacement package — pump, filter, heating system and liner — run by 'Joe' and his crew, and a concrete in-ground pump repair they called fast, knowledgeable and professional. The longer history is rougher, and it sits under a different name and address. HomeAdvisor carries AQRS Contractors at 406 Boston Rd in Billerica on a profile whose About text belongs to a predecessor, Water Craft Pools and Spas, at 3.6 from seven reviews; Angi lists that same Billerica address at 0.5, though from a single review. Between 2019 and 2022 the complaints on those two sites run to projects that stalled after a deposit, calls and emails that went unanswered, and a town permit a homeowner later found had never been pulled. Ask about two things before you sign. An April 2026 Thumbtack customer said the estimate they were promised never arrived after two follow-up emails, so get a date for your written quote and hold them to it. And the company's age is stated three different ways — a February 2023 start on BBB, 25 years on Angi, 37 on HomeAdvisor — so ask directly how long this business has operated and under which names. For a defined pool repair — a pump, a filter, a liner — the 2026 run is encouraging and the turnaround is genuinely quick. For a full build, a waterproofing job, or anything needing a permit, put the scope, the permit responsibility and the payment schedule in writing before any deposit changes hands.

Removed the pool cover, got the Chemicals, turned on the pump motor, only to find that it must have seized up over the winter, Called my local pool guy got his voice mail, left a message. Called another company got the same. I Looked thru yelp, found a great review for AQRS, Called and to my surprise Christine answered, I told her the issues and within 4 days they were at my house with a new pump and motor, within a couple of hours they were finished. I am very satisfied and will be giving them all my pool repairs. I highly recommend them.

His commitment to excellence and thoroughness sets him apart, ensuring that you receive nothing but the best service tailored to your needs. In an era where quality often takes a backseat to efficiency, AQRS team stands as a beacon of reliability and skill, making his experience something you absolutely want to treasure. The person coming to the house for an estimate was very nice and knowledgeable, after a week no estimate was sent so we emailed, the response was that they were very busy and an estimate will be send by end of day tomorrow the latest. Since nothing was sent I emailed again a couple of days after and no response. Not a good way to do business and a waste of people's time. Details: In ground, outdoors, vinyl lining damaged or needs replacement — Swimming Pool Repair.

The wall run getting the drain — a full 30×40 ft basement is about 140 ft.
