BG Foundation Repair is a Marlborough, MA operation built around one thing: foundation cracks and basement water. Owner Ben Grant, often working alongside Chris, holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, an A+ from the Better Business Bureau, and a 5-star average across 54 Google ratings — with 18 reviews in the last six months and not one negative. A recommendation even surfaced organically on r/massachusetts, where a Redditor pointed a stranger to "my buddy at BG Foundation Repair." The standout stories involve problems other companies couldn't crack. One homeowner had a horizontal crack running from a window well to the garage that four of the big names seen on TV commercials had quoted expensive, ineffective fixes for — Ben solved it fast and for a fraction of the cost, even after the customer had to reschedule twice. Another had a wall crack a previous contractor had already "repaired," except the leak kept coming back; after BG fixed it, the leaks stopped, and a separate floor crack that had been letting radon levels spike every time it rained stayed stable afterward. On one visit for an unrelated repair, the crew noticed a foundation beam that had started shifting and flagged it before it became a bigger problem. The pattern that shows up almost as often as the technical fixes is straightforward billing: more than one reviewer describes Ben reducing the quoted price once an inspection showed less work was needed than first estimated, and repairs are consistently described as completed against the original quote with no extras and no surprises. The process itself is usually the same — photos texted in, a same-day or next-day quote, a scheduled visit, and a cleaned-up basement or garage afterward. There's no real downside on record; the closest thing to a caveat is that a few reviews describe a helpful phone or email exchange rather than a completed repair, which is still useful for judging how the company communicates before you hire them. A strong pick specifically for foundation cracks, basement and bulkhead leaks, and garage slab cracking — especially for anyone who's already gotten an expensive, unconvincing quote from a bigger competitor and wants a second opinion.
“Anyone in need of Foundation maintenance, contact my buddy at BG Foundation Repairs. Based out of Marlborough, but works all over the state.”
We had an amazing experience with BG Repair, we had them repair a crack in our basement and we are actually selling our house when the inspector came he said it was one of the best jobs he's seen for crack repair and was blown away. They were so responsive and went above and beyond to answer our questions and also guarantee a warrantee of issues to arise. They were beyond helpful will use them again if needed!!!
Just wanted to thank BG Foundation Repair for their quick response and professional repairs to the crack in my foundation. I called in the afternoon and Ben was here the next morning. The repair was competed in no time and according to the quoted price... no extras and no surprises. I highly recommend BG Foundation Repair for anyone requiring professional service on their foundation or other concrete structures.
We had some large cracks in our basement walls. These guys were very professional and did amazing work. Helped to educate us on the cause of the cracks and the process for repair. Great pricing also. I am looking forward to recommending them to anyone who has cracks in their foundation.
Ben Grant did an incredible job at solving a 40 (?) year problem in my basement in very short time, for an incredibly reasonable price. The problem was a horizontal crack in my foundation wall that ran from the window well to the garage. I had 4 basement companies look at it -- all the big names you see on commercials -- who gave me expensive estimates that didn't address the problem. I even had to reschedule Ben twice do to conflicts in my schedule. He patiently followed up and let me know his next availability. He was fast, neat, affordable, and comprehensive in his communications and explanations and went above and beyond. What more can I say? I highly recommend BG Foundation Reapir. I want to add an update 3 weeks later. Since BG Foundation Repair's work, we have had several decent rain storms with downpours and high winds. My basement remained completely dry and actually felt warm(er), which is a first.
Good experience. Would recommend!
