Five stars across 107 Google ratings is the kind of number that usually thins out under scrutiny. This one holds up. The reviews for Aranson Maguire Group, a real estate team at 148 Dorchester Ave in South Boston, keep landing on the same two words — patient and responsive — and they keep coming from people buying their first place. That first-timer thread runs through most of the recent comments. In February, one buyer listed what Matt Aranson handed over beyond the house itself: a mortgage lender, a home inspector, a closing attorney, a painter, an electrician and a cleaning service. Another spent a yearlong search with him, working through priorities that kept shifting, before closing. The selling side reads the same way. In April, a condo owner who had spent six months with a different agent and taken no offers switched over to Christine Pittman and described staging and marketing handled detail by detail from there. A South Boston seller in March credited Sarah Maguire and Matt Aranson with carrying the transaction start to finish. Rentals are a real part of the business, not an afterthought, which matters if you are the tenant rather than the buyer. A group of first-year post-grads searching in May said Connor Nolan walked them through how Boston leasing actually works before they committed to anything, and in April another renter said he had a viewing booked quickly once they spotted a listing they wanted. The firm also turns up on the South Boston Chamber of Commerce member roll. One thing to notice before you call: the praise here is almost always addressed to a person, not the office. Matt Aranson, Christine Healy Pittman, Connor Nolan, Maddie — each name carries its own cluster of reviews. Ask who you will actually be paired with, and whether that agent works the neighborhood and price band you are targeting. The work described sits heavily in South Boston condos, on both the buy and the rent side, so a suburban single-family search is less charted territory here. For a first purchase in Southie, or a condo that has sat too long with someone else, this is a reasonable call. Confirm your agent's Massachusetts real estate license and get the commission terms in writing before you sign a representation agreement.

Working with Maddie as a first-time homebuyer was such a pleasure! I was referred to her by a friend who worked with her in a rental capacity, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the recommendation. Not only is Maddie lovely to work with, she is super well connected and put me in touch with all the right people. With Maddie’s help we built a really solid team that helped me navigate this process with confidence. She is personable, professional, and knows how to take the emotion out of deals when they can otherwise be emotional and overwhelming! I am so appreciative of her guidance and expertise throughout this experience and couldn’t be more happy with my condo!! I’d recommend anyone that asks to Maddie!

My husband and I worked with Matt Aranson, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Matt was consistently patient with us as we were first time buyers with a lot of anxiety! His wisdom, insight, and professional connections were extremely helpful for us as we saw various properties, and ultimately closed on ours. I would highly recommend working with Matt and his team for your home buying needs.

Working with Christine was a dream! She helped me both rent and sell my condo and I felt taken care of every step of the process. Not only is she collaborative and savvy, she is also so kind and a great listener/advocate for your goals. Expect extreme professionalism and organization here - 10/10 experience!!!

Working with Connor Nolan made our apartment search process so much easier. He was so great and responsive from day 1. My group and I were first year post grads and Connor made sure we understood the renting process well and gave us a great sense of our options before we found an apartment we all feel great about!
