A 5.0 across 95 Google ratings usually means a thin sample. This one isn't: the reviews run back to 2022 and keep landing, six of them in the last six months alone. Carlisle Group is a family-run Boston real estate team led by Amy Carlisle, working out of Newbury Street in the Back Bay. The company says it operates under the Compass brokerage and covers Boston and South Boston. Its Massachusetts real estate broker license is active. What comes through in the recent reviews is that this is a bench, not a solo act. A buyer writing in March described meeting agent Deacon Swift by chance the previous May and working with him for nearly a year, including a mid-search pivot from the city out to the suburbs, without being pushed to decide. Another first-time buyer, also in March, credited him with lining up a lender and an inspector alongside the search itself. In February, a different buyer named David Blatt as the person who carried them through their first purchase. Amy Carlisle draws the sharpest language. A family in professional sports, writing in June, called her a bulldog in the Boston market and tied that reputation directly to how hard she argues for her clients. A July reviewer framed the value differently: deadlines and the sheer number of boxes to tick stopped being their problem. Across the longer history the praise runs in the same direction — patience with people buying for the first time, and a working read on South Boston in particular, including one seller who credited agent Kailyn with holding together a sale that ran into complications with the city. The thing worth sorting out before you call is who you would actually be working with. The reviews name at least seven different agents — Amy, Maia, Deacon, Emily, Simone, Kailyn, David — and each account is really about the person that client got, not about the team as a unit. Ask who would handle your search and what they have closed recently in the neighborhood you are targeting. The credentials the company advertises — Top Agent Network, a Top 100 Real Estate Agents of America placement, a Real Trends verification — appear on its own site, so read them as the company's claims rather than confirmations. The license is the piece that checks out independently, against the state registry. If you are buying your first place in Boston or South Boston and want someone who will slow down and walk through the mechanics, this is a reasonable call to make. Name your agent up front, and get their recent closings in your target neighborhood before you sign anything.

Buying or selling a property can be such a daunting experience, especially if it's your firs time! There are so many bases to cover and deadlines to meet, but know that you'll be at ease with the Carlisle Group! I've had the pleasure of working with Amy and her team and they are simply amazing! Amy thoroughly researches and knows the market very well. She is truly a guru when it comes to the real estate market in Boston and the greater Boston area. Amy, along with her team communicates openly and are always working to stay ahead of any deadlines. The whole process from start to finish is always seamless and I highly recommend them!

As a professional sports family we understand the value of having the best people around you to be successful. You want Amy captaining your team plain and simple. She has earned the reputation as a bulldog in the real estate world in Boston because she always advocates for her clients. Amy has been our realtor for our last three sales and purchases and even though there were outside complications with this latest move, Amy, alongside her phenomenal lawyer David Cuttler, were able to step in and negotiate with the third party to get us into our new home without undo stress for us. We moved outside the city but there was never a moment’s hesitation from Amy or her team to make themselves available to answer a question or concern or to take us to see a listing last minute. Amy’s team is first class when it comes to getting your home ready for market, presenting it with distinction with the photoshoot and obtaining maximum exposure. Amy is seasoned, professional and knowledgeable with the closing process as well which affords you the assurance of everything being as it should. This is our real estate dream team and it has been proven multiple times that Amy is an agent who can be trusted to go above and beyond for you every step of the way. Krissy and Chris Kelly

We met Deacon Swift by chance last May and ended up working with him for almost a full year while we figured out where we wanted to buy. He stuck with us through the entire process, including when we pivoted from looking in the city to ultimately buying in the suburbs. He was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about us ending up in the right place. He spent time talking through the pros and cons of different homes and always made sure we were thinking about what would be best for us long term, not just the immediate decision. As first time home buyers, the process felt overwhelming at times, but Deacon was there for us every step of the way and guided us through our first closing with so much care and support. We are so grateful to have had him in our corner and truly could not recommend him more.

My husband and I worked with Deacon to buy our first home! He was so helpful throughout the whole process. He was very communicative, answered all of our questions, and had great recommendations for a lender, inspector, and more. He made the process as easy as it can be and we would definitely recommend working with him in your real estate search!
