Artinmet is a welding shop trading as Artinmet Iron Works — three people out of Revere making and fitting the metal you actually hold onto: outdoor stair railings, handrails, gates, wrought-iron window and door grills. The company says it was founded in 2018 and counts eight years in the trade. The reviews are unusually concrete for a business this size. A customer writing in June 2026 had a railing built to make an incline safe to walk, and named Asaf as the person who did it. In May 2026 another paid $1,300 for metal stairs and railings and said the job was finished quickly. A 2025 customer had a handrail on an outdoor staircase installed within a week of first contact. A 2024 reviewer who called several welders said Artinmet answered fastest, priced the job well, and came back with design suggestions they had not thought of. The detail that says the most comes from a September 2024 customer with wrought-iron window and door grills: they pointed out that the grills were anchored so they could not be pulled out, something they had seen done badly elsewhere. That is the kind of thing only a person who looked closely writes down. Johan — Johan Londono Montoya, who cleared a Thumbtack background check in May 2024 — is named in four separate reviews, with Asaf in a fifth, so there are at least two hands on the work. The profiles state Spanish-language service. The project galleries back the range: forged handrails, a white tubing railing and a modern black horizontal railing in 2025, plus a 2023 fit-out for a café and bar, so this is not houses only. Two cautions about the numbers. The perfect five-star counts across Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack are less independent than they look — the HomeAdvisor page is a copy of the Angi one, one Angi reviewer appears twice for the same $800 job, and a third customer shows up on both Angi and Thumbtack. The honest total is in the mid-teens rather than the thirty-odd the badges imply. And the trade licence the directories print, number 218032 with a Massachusetts locale, is self-reported on both platforms by their own statement, so treat it as a claim rather than a credential until you see it yourself. For a railing, a gate, or a security grill, this is a specialist rather than a general contractor. Ask to see photos of a railing close to what you want, and pin down the fabrication timeline before the deposit.
