There is only one company that we will ever allow to handle our HVAC system needs and that is Ayotte Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. During a week long heat wave (July (2022), our central A/C unit stopped running. Temperatures in the house reached 85-90 degrees, and we needed immediate service. After calling multiple companies (including one that we were actually a customer of), ONLY Ayotte's was the one who answered our phone call (I am sure they have many individuals answering calls there, but if you are like me and lucky enough to talk with Michelle, you will know from the start that everything will be ok), and scheduled us for immediate service. We called them at 1:00pm and by 4:30pm (same day) a technician (Matt) was there fixing our problem. In a situation like this, as a home owner I want to know that there is a service provider out there who believes in running a business the right way. Beginning with the initial phone call, to the quality and expertise of the their technicians (and I know they have the top of the line people, as we found with Matt), to a reasonable fee comparable to the quality of service you are receiving (face it, nothing is free in life, and I am firm believer in as long as fee is comparable to the service, then one should have very little to complain about), to finally just knowing that you are good in hands with genuine people. So like I said, I will never allow another company to service my HVAC needs...Ayotte Plumbing is the only company for me.

Called in these folks since previous owner used them to install the central air. My problem was AC was not turning on due to no power on Y1 on thermostat. After coming in when I explained what's the issue and how this 'no power on Y1' happened back in February, the tech basically said it's a thermostat problem and need to call the Nest/electrician (also how they never work with nest thermostat which is bizarre tbh). Me knowing a bit about HVAC, asked him to jump Y1 and RC wire and AC should turn on if it's a thermostat problem. He then said yes, I can try that. Sure enough it didn't work and proved that it's NOT a thermostat problem. Then he finally went to the attic to check the air handler and did something with the condensate Safe T switch and AC started running. There was recent insulation work from MASSSAVE and he said the issue is from the insulation work, even though the problem (no power to Y1) happened back to February (and I just had to disconnect the wire from the thermostat since no need to cool the house back then). Long story short, I have expected more than "masssave caused the problem" . Who knows if the condensate drain is clogged or something and if that caused the shutoff. At the very least I needed a rootcause of the problem. But this guy went down right away and got to his car and said service call would be $180. I hate leaving bad reviews to local business but I really had an odd experience. Leaving 2 star since AC is working, for now, but I am pretty much sure if condensate drain clog is the issue this will fail again and then there would be another $180 "service call".

Ayotte plumbing was great 👍 they are so professional and polite. They did a great job installing my new furnace! I would recommend them to anyone that needs a new furnace.
