Barbuzzi Landscaping is a family-run outfit working Swampscott and the North Shore, the kind of company people call for the everyday upkeep of a yard — mowing, seeding, mulching, irrigation — plus an occasional bigger push like a new patio or retaining wall. The company describes itself as family owned and operated with over 30 years caring for residential and commercial properties; Angi lists 41 years of experience, and the Better Business Bureau's file traces it back to a 1994 start (32 years) — the figures don't all line up, but they agree on a long-established, family-run operation. The review history is worth reading carefully rather than at a glance. Angi puts it at 4.8 out of 5 across ten reviews, carrying an Approved badge, and that same profile notes one project that ran roughly two months past schedule and about 17% over its estimate, attributed to weather. Google is considerably less generous at 3.7 out of 5 from ten separate ratings — a gap wide enough to flag rather than average away. Houzz shows a perfect 5.0, but on a single review, which isn't enough on its own to lean on. All ten reviews behind those numbers date from 2018 to 2020, so there's no fresh, current read to point to — the numbers describe how the business was doing several years ago, not necessarily this season. Worth asking about before booking: project timelines, especially for hardscape or drainage work where weather can push a schedule — that's the one documented wrinkle in an otherwise positive history. Barbuzzi looks like a reasonable call for routine lawn care and irrigation work in the Swampscott/Lynn area, backed by a family-owned business with decades behind it; just confirm current availability and a realistic timeline given that one schedule slip.

Work was done as proposed. Work site was cleaned up well. I won't know if the restructured drainage will work in a rainstorm but have been assured they will return if it doesn't.

They are a great company to work with. They also added a bigger driveway to our property and did great landscaping with new sod and plants. They are a bunch of hardworking guys and are very professional. Had many compliments from the neighbors and people driving by looking at the difference in the property they made.

Did a beautiful job on leveling and laying sod in my yard and had everything done before I got home from work. Left my yard neat and orderly. Very happy with their work and would highly recommend them!
