Shed pads, cleared land and stump removal are among the jobs customers described hiring Barko's for. Based in South Hadley, the company says it serves South Hadley, Granby, Holyoke, Chicopee and Ludlow. Its website advertises excavating and grading, drainage, gravel driveways, concrete services, landscape construction, bulk-material delivery and snow removal. A customer writing in March 2026 described having a shed pad installed, then asking Kyle to return to remove bushes along a long driveway. They praised both jobs and the condition of the yard afterward. In September 2025, another customer said a discussion about a shed pad led to hiring the company to clear an acre in their backyard. That reviewer praised Kyle's efficiency and pricing and said they had worked with the company for three years. A June 2025 reviewer described quick stump removal, good communication and fair prices. Material deliveries draw sharply different accounts. A May 2026 customer praised the product, price and ease of ordering online. Another customer writing that month reported glass and other debris in soil sold as screened, saying they had personally screened 20 cubic yards for a backyard used by their blind dog and were still finding glass. They also objected to two delivery fees for one delivery and said two attempts to contact the company went unanswered. They acknowledged that delivery itself was quick. Google lists 4.7 stars from 25 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 204716 under Barko's Property Service LLC, is expired according to the state registry. The company's website states that it is insured and offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service.
The delivery was quick but it seems silly to charge 2 delivery fees for 1 delivery. My biggest complaint is it says screened soil yet the amount of glass alone I found in the soil was rediculous. The other trash was whatever but I am leveling out my back yard for my blind dog. I had to personally screen 20 cubic yards of soil and I am still finding glass in it, LOT OF GLASS. Im not sure what they think screened is but this isn't it. I reached out to make them aware of this, twice mind you and nothing but crickets. They didnt even have the decency to write back. Very disappointed. If you actually want screened material go elsewhere.
They're super friendly, delivery a quality product, and all at a great price. Was easy for me to order off their website and have it delivered. I'll be using them for more of my landscaping needs.
If you’re looking for a true professional to do your long awaited spring projects look no further than Barko Properties. Kyle is very dependable and reasonable and I believe he cares as much or even more than you do about your project. Barkos put a shed pad in for me and it couldn’t have been better. I had Kyle return to remove some bushes along a fairly long driveway. Both times the yard was left much better than I imagined EXCELLENT WORK !!
I can't say enough good things about Barcos property service. When I first met with them, Kyle came to my house to discuss putting a shed pad down. I was so impressed by his efficiency, diligence, and fair pricing that I ended up clearing an acre of land in my backyard using their services. Barcos created a wonderful area that is an aesthetic highlight to my property. I've been working with this company for three years now, and i know that i can trust them. it's tough to find reliable people these days, so higher them when you have the chance.
Kyle did an excellent and quick job removing a few stumps from my yard. He had quick and good communication and had very fair prices! Would highly recommend.
