A 2026 review from someone managing a sale from out of state says Chris and his team cleaned up and staged a very difficult house, worked through several probate-related issues, and immediately turned over cash they found hidden in some books. Another 2026 review says Chris and his staff came in and set up everything, and the sale was very organized. In a 2026 review, a customer wrote that Chris came out and explained the options, then his team cleaned out a brother's home where every square inch of the house, basement and garage were filled. In 2025, a seller with items in two homes about 20 minutes apart wrote that Chris clearly communicated his process and pricing structure, and the team collected the items from both locations in one morning. A 2024 Boston Globe report said an employee of Best Rate Cleanouts & Estate Sales, which oversaw the sale, handed out slips of paper to waiting shoppers, each with a number that marked their place in line. There are serious complaints about how sales are handled. A 2026 review says a promised full inventory with pricing was never provided in advance, the payout came 2+ months after the sale, and the driveway camera and ring doorbell were covered in tape on the day of the sale. In 2025, a seller wrote that the sale was postponed 3 times, pricing promised 7-14 days before the sale never happened, the team covered an outdoor security camera with painters tape, and numerous items were unaccounted for on the ledger. Someone who went to one sale wrote in 2026 that everything smelled like cat urine and most things were kind of overpriced.

I've been to over a dozen of Best Rates sales now, and Chris and his team are some of the most kind, patient, and gracious people you could hope to meet. It's easy to understand why they have to following they do. They really earn the "Best" in their name.
Chris and his team did an incredible job with this estate sale. From beginning to end, they went above and beyond in many ways. This was not an easy situation. I live out of state, the house needed a lot of work to get ready, and there were several probate-related issues that required us to adjust the plan more than once. Chris was patient, flexible, and very easy to work with throughout the process. He handled everything with a positive attitude. The whole team was excellent. They cleaned up and staged a very difficult house and made it look fantastic. Chris told me, “When we’re done with our setup, you won’t even recognize the place,” and he was absolutely right. They also showed real integrity. During the process, they found cash hidden in some books and immediately turned it over to me. That says a lot about the kind of people they are. Because I was managing this from out of state, communication mattered a lot. Chris and his team were great by phone and text, accommodated several special requests, and made a complicated process much easier. I highly recommend Best Rate Cleanouts and Estate Sales. They know what they are doing, they work hard, and they are people you can trust.
