Ask around Acton or the western suburbs and the name that keeps surfacing is Nick — the sales rep customers credit, move after move, with keeping a complicated relocation on track. Big Foot Moving & Storage says it's been doing this since 2001, founded by Mike Bavuso, who started out as a mover himself in college; the company now operates out of Acton and describes its reach as Greater Boston and beyond. The story holds up across a genuinely deep history: 44 reviews since 2022 spanning four different sites, and a 4.7-star average from 123 Google ratings. This spring and summer, that pattern kept repeating — Nick lining up a last-minute move with a crew reviewers called "fabulous," another customer praising how Mike personally worked around a month-long gap between homes by arranging portable storage containers, and a named crew (Naicy, Bruce, Fernando, Kristian, Grady, Liam) called out for being easy to reach and on time. One repeat customer says they've used Big Foot for jobs both big and small and have been "always completely satisfied." The longer history backs that up with a wider range of jobs — cross-country moves, extended storage stints, last-minute bookings — described the same way: professional, punctual, careful with belongings. The one real caution in that record: a single reviewer said the crew did fine work but felt the sales side overpromised on a complicated move, and advised getting more than one quote before committing, especially if Big Foot's bid comes in noticeably cheaper than the rest. Worth asking about directly if your move has unusual complications. There's also a real gap between platforms worth knowing: while Google puts them at 4.7, moveBuddha reports an average Yelp rating of just 3.9 across a much larger pool of about 162 reviews — a meaningfully softer number than the sample reviewed here would suggest. If you're moving in or out of the Boston area — locally, cross-country, or with a stretch of storage in between — this is a long-running, actively-praised outfit with a genuine face behind the phone number. Just get the specifics of a complex move in writing, and don't assume the lowest quote tells the whole story.

Nick as our sales person and Naicy, Bruce, Fernando, Kristian, Grady, and Liam as the moving crew were all fantastic. They were easy to communicate with, on time and did excellent work. Thank you!

We had a great experience with Big Foot Moving. We needed to move out of our house and couldn't move into our new house for a month. We had to use portable storage containers to store our items. Mike from Big Foot came out and was very understanding of our situation and happy to have his team help pack the storage containers. He explained the process and was flexible on when his movers could come out. His pricing was very reasonable. The day before the move, I got a call from the office confirming they would be on site the next day. The day of the move, his crew called when they were on their way and the expected time they would arrive. The crew was excellent! Very careful with everything and careful to not damage the house or the items. They are amazing on how efficiently they can load a container. I highly recommend Big Foot Moving and only wish they covered the area we are moving to so we could use them to help us move into our new house.

We had a wonderful moving experience with Big Foot Moving, and I would highly recommend them! This was a very last-minute move and Nick made it work for us. He was responsive to all of my questions, rushed things through to make it happen, and set us up with a fabulous team of guys. Naicy, Bruce, and Michael were organized, professional, and extremely careful with all of our belongings. It was pouring rain and not a single item got wet! They dropped things off in two different places for us and everything arrived in perfect condition, making the move so easy for us. Nick checked in throughout the day to make sure everything was going well. As I said to him, I can't say enough good about the move - and the guys could not have been nicer or more professional. Thanks Big Foot Moving!
