Large spruce limbs overhanging a house, each one reached by climbing the tree and carefully lowered down: that is the job a recent Google reviewer describes Owen of Black Dog Tree Service doing, with the limbs mulched into his truck and hauled away. The company describes its work as climbing, difficult removals, view cuts, ornamental pruning, line clearance and house clearance, says it has 16 years of experience, and names Mount Desert, Tremont, Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor, Hancock and Trenton in its service area. A recent customer says Owen topped a couple of very tall spruces close to the house and then did finer view trimming, with his helper Mike on the job that day. A recent customer says Black Dog Tree took on large limbs over the house and a difficult pine tree just feet from it, came in with a competitive quote, and left the yard looking great. A recent customer says Owen removed several trees right next to the house at a fair price and left the property looking better than before he arrived. A recent customer says he came over to look at an aging apple tree after they spotted the company working for a neighbor, then adjusted another tree to address their concerns. A recent customer says Owen has worked on two of their properties, including removing limbs from difficult places.
Owen is amazing! Does great work and cleans up great! I would highly recommend him for any type of tree work hedge trimming and brush removal! Reasonably priced!
I spotted this company at work for a neighbor and asked him to stop by to talk about our aging apple tree. He came right over and was clearly a man who knew what he was talking about. He offered us a date and he came and did an excellent job so we then consulted him about another tree which he figured out and adjusted it perfectly to address our concerns. By all means, do not hesitate to hire this operation. He will do as he says and clean up completely when he's done.
Owen from black dog tree service was easy to work with. I had numerous large spruce limbs overhanging my house. They required climbing the tree and carefully lowering each limb down. The limbs were mulched up into his truck and hauled away keeping the area looking great. I will definitely use Black Dog in the future.
Owen’s knowledge, skills, reliability, communication, safety, and conscientiousness are exceptional. He’s done multiple projects on our property and is an absolute pleasure to work with!
Owen has worked on two of our properties. He is accommodating and works really hard and is great at what he does even removing limbs from really difficult places. Highly recommend!
