Bostonean is a stone showroom in Everett — marble, granite and quartz countertops, cabinetry and tile, with edge-profile fabrication and stone restoration and polishing, and by the company's own account more than 15 years of it. The two written accounts are a few years old and pull in opposite directions. In a September 2022 Google review, a customer called Tatiany about remnant pieces, was invited to the showroom that same day, and had a crew out to measure within the week. An April 2021 Houzz review tells another story: the reviewer says the crew insisted on taking their sink with them to measure for countertops, and that page describes a damaged sink, a quote raised by nearly $1,000, and the company going unresponsive when the customer confronted them. On Google the company averages 4.4 stars across 23 ratings. The part a showroom visit will not show sits in federal labor filings. Violation Tracker, the Good Jobs First database, lists three wage-and-hour penalties against Bostonean Inc — $37,122 and $34,664 in 2021, and $40,812 dated April 30, 2022, under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Those are employer cases about worker pay rather than findings about workmanship, but they are worth weighing when a crew will be in your kitchen for a week. On the commercial side, Bostonean has been on the Procore Construction Network since July 2022, listing 46 projects with 18 active, and serving Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. If you are shopping stone and want to stand in front of the slabs and remnants, the showroom is the draw here. Get the measured quote and the final price in writing before anything leaves your house, settle in advance whether your sink travels with them, and ask what happens if a fixture comes back damaged.
