Bouchard-Pierce is an Essex Junction appliance store that also designs and sells kitchen cabinets; its BBB profile says it was established in Vermont in 1976. A recent customer whose Speed Queen washing machine ate a sock and lost its pump said the parts department replaced it under warranty instead of selling a part. A recent customer who had lived with an oven's erratic temperatures said the Bouchard Pierce repairman identified the problem and it was promptly fixed. A recent customer bought an LG dishwasher and praised the process from sales through installation. A recent customer who bought a Speed Queen washer said the installers did a great job, but that a tech only partially fixed a later problem and that the person answering the service line hung up before an appointment could be set. A 2025 customer described a delivery of a GE oven and refrigerator into a very old house with narrow doorways, where Jack and Ray took off doors to get the appliances inside. A 2025 customer said a gas oven purchase went smoothly from sales to removal, installation and gas hook-up, with the pilots and stove level checked. A 2024 customer said Michelle Lonerwright, the cabinet designer, improved their starting kitchen design, and that B-P replaced a drawer the installers had drilled incorrectly. A 2025 customer said a cabinet was designed so the new refrigerator doors could not open, and that the attempt to resolve it was unsatisfactory. A 2024 customer said the service department would not work on a Subzero compressor system and scheduled non-emergency repairs months out. In a June 2026 r/burlington comment, a poster said neighbors who recently renovated the kitchens in their units with Bouchard-Pierce were very happy with the results.
“Two of my neighbors recently renovated the kitchens in their units with Bouchard-Pierce. They were very happy with the results.”
“Cocoplum and Bouchard-Pierce are both good.”
“McKnight worked with Brittny Mee of Bouchard-Pierce in Essex Junction on the puzzle of cabinet design and layout.”
Don't sleep on Bouchard-Pierce! Not only have they beat the price of any box store options when I've been on the hunt for a new appliance, their customer service, warranty support and overall service experience is far superior. The staff is knowledgeable about their product lines, and the sales experience was about matching my use case vs. trying to upsell me to more expensive models. On the service side: My SpeedQueen washing machine recently ate a sock. Nom-Nom-Nom – and it caused the pump to fail. I called up the parts department to order a replacement and was told no – they were happy to replace it under warranty. I was shocked! Try THAT with a big box store! I’ve been buying from, and recommending Bouchard-Pierce to friends and family for over 20 years now, and I’ve always had a fantastic experience. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been treated right by this awesome local gem.
I bought a new Speed Queen washer. The guys that installed it were awesome and they did a great job and they deserve 5 stars on their own. But the person who answers the phone in the service department and the service I have received is the 1 star. 9 months after I purchased the machine I started having issues with it. The tech partially fixed the issue best he could and said to call back if the problem continues. He left knowing it wasn't fixed. When I call the service line the lady just repeats the service provided then yells at me. I can't even setup an appointment because she hung up. Apparently because the machine is installed in a mobile home that is why its having issues according to the lady on the phone. They knew before I bought it that it was going in a trailer. And the machine worked great for the first 8 to 9 months. I had my sewer lines snaked thinking that was the problem but it's still having issues. So now I have a machine I can't use that is still under service warranty but I can't get it serviced because of the lady who answers the phone. Like others on here, I wanted to support a local company but I will be purchasing the next one from a box store. Again the delivery guys were awesome and the sales lady was easy to deal with. The service department is the problem and most notably the one that answers the phone. I will edit my review if the manager that is supposed to call me can get me scheduled service.
Have been a customer for many years: Another Excellent Bouchard Pierce experience; just purchased an LG dishwasher; the process was great; from sales, thru installation ! Thank You !!
We bought a dishwasher and refrigerator, and will definitely continue to purchase our appliances here. The customer service was above and beyond anything we have ever experienced when purchasing appliances.
I wish we had bought our appliances from them. We bought them from the Superstore whose service is terrible. Once they’ve made their sale, they don’t seem to care if there’s a problem. They sent a “repairman” to our house to fix our $1600 oven and he didn’t seem to have a clue what to do about it. He told us it wasn’t worth fixing. After living with the erratic temperatures and trying to adjust for baking or roasting for two years, I finally called Bouchard Pierce. Their repairman identified the problem and it was promptly fixed at a very reasonable price.
