A customer of more than ten years used a January 2026 review to list everything Boyden's has done at their house — routine cuts, spring and fall clean-ups, hardscape installation, tree work — and added the line that mattered most to them: "They show up when they say they will." That range is the point of this Pelham company, which its site says Charlie Boyden started in 1992 and Mike Boyden now runs day to day, second generation, 34 years in. The bigger jobs draw the most detailed write-ups. Two January 2026 reviewers described hardscaping — one a project carried from consultation and design through to completion on a disciplined schedule, the other a job that ran from the initial excavation to the final landscaping, with Michael and his crew named. Irrigation turns up twice in 2023: one customer said the irrigation team fixed broken heads quickly and reminded them to air the system out each year, and another, in July 2023, said they came out fast for several sprinkler heads while turning a weedy lawn green. Two customers were not happy, and both are specific. In an August 2023 review, one liked the pricing and the service but not the result: a hill washed out in that year's rain, and the new grass took four to five weeks to appear when the neighbors' came in one or two. In February 2022, another called $90 a plow laughable and said that calling to complain brought a bill rather than a response. Google sits at 3.8 stars across 26 ratings. For mowing, clean-ups, a patio or an irrigation fix around Pelham, they have the crews and the yard — a 2024 customer found material pickup there convenient, and a 2023 one picked up loam for garden boxes. If you are having a lawn seeded or a slope planted, get the timeline and what happens if the grass does not come in down in writing, and pin down what a snow contract covers per storm before winter.

I am thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism and technical expertise demonstrated by Boyden’s Landscaping during our recent hardscaping project. From the initial consultation and to design through to completion, the team maintained a disciplined schedule, clear communication, and a meticulous attention to detail that is rare in the industry. They executed the installation of our new outdoor living space with high-quality craftsmanship, ensuring the site remained clean and organized throughout the process. It is refreshing to work with a contractor that prioritizes both aesthetic excellence and transparent business practices, and I would highly recommend their services to any property owner seeking a seamless, high-end result.
