Brian's Plumbing & Electric has two Google reviews from 2025, and they tell opposite stories. In a March 2025 review, a renter whose son's room had no electricity reached Brian, who came the very next day, fixed it at a cost the customer thought was too low, took his shoes off without being asked and kept the workspace clean. In a September 2025 review, another customer said Brian missed two appointments he had set himself, claiming two hours past the first that he had lost their number, and never apologized. Google shows 3 stars from those 2 ratings. The Cumberland Center business describes itself on its BBB profile as an electrical, plumbing and oil and gas heating contractor for residential and light commercial customers, doing repairs plus installation for new construction and remodeling. The licence behind it is Brian Hennigan's: Maine's Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation lists his electrician licence, MS60016715, as active.
Hard to say if this guy is worth his salt. No show over two appointments, with not so much as an apology. The two appointments were designated by him. I had to arise early on a Saturday morning, to prep for his visit, which he had scheduled two days earlier. After two hours past the appointment, he claimed to have lost my number. Said he would return two days later. Another no show. Reliability is key, especially when dealing with tradesmen in this field. Whatever Brian’s skill set might be, he has proven to be unreliable.
I had moved into a rental about eight months ago. My son’s room had no electricity running to it. The landlords did not do anything to help. I reached out to Brian and the very next day he came and fixed the problem at a VERY reasonable cost ( in fact I told him he didn’t charge enough lol) He took his shoes off before walking through my house (without being asked) . He was polite and friendly and professional . His workspace was kept clean and he was honest and reliable. I would recommend Brian any day and if I ever need heat pump or electric work done he will be my first call . 100 out of 10 recommend.
