BrightView Landscapes is a national commercial landscaping company with roots the company dates to 1939. Its stated work spans landscape design and development, maintenance, snow and ice, water management, tree care, golf, sports turf, and multi-location property management. The customer accounts are mixed. In April 2026, a reviewer praised the materials and craftsmanship, and said the crew kept the workspace clean and respected the surrounding property. Older reviews raise concrete issues: a November 2024 reviewer questioned management’s attention to vehicle safety, while an August 2022 reviewer described repeated minor property damage, debris, and improper equipment use by landscapers. BrightView’s scale suits commercial owners and organizations that need recurring landscape programs across properties. A Boston-area project listing places BrightView Landscape Services at 70 Ceylon Street, while the company’s own site describes nationwide commercial coverage. Before hiring, discuss who supervises the local crew, how equipment and vehicle safety are handled, and what inspection process follows routine maintenance. The recent positive account is encouraging, but the older safety and property-care complaints deserve direct answers in the scope and service plan.
“Brightview Landscape Development turned to Read Custom Soils for all of the precision blended soils that were specified by the landscape architects, STIMSON, in collaboration with the project’s soil scientists at Pine & Swallow.”
The quality of the materials and the craftsmanship are top-notch. They took great care to keep the workspace clean and were respectful of the surrounding property.
Management doesn't care about safety. Ignore the bike that is stuck under their truck and look at how bald those front tires are.
The landscapers they hire are unprofessional. I own my condo, they come in my patio area and break minor thing with the weedwacker all the time, leaving debris behind, they improperly use the equipment. I didn’t complain about the small petty stuff in my patio, then one day while clipping the bushes behind my car, one of the landscapers tripped with hedge clippers in his hands on top of my husband’s BMW !! Scratches the paint off!!! And they are denying it!!! I’m dealing with my condo association right now!
