D&D Property Maintenance runs out of Brighton, handling the two jobs that keep a Massachusetts property going year-round: landscaping in the warm months and snow plowing in the cold ones. The company says on its site that it's been at this for over 20 years, working commercial and residential properties across Greater Boston and Cape Cod out of its Malbert Road base. Its Google page holds 13 ratings averaging 4.3 stars, and the specifics in them cluster around a handful of real jobs: a sod installation done on time and cheaper than competing quotes, a sprinkler system that came with a free five-year warranty, and a spring cleanup that left a client's lawn greener than it had been. One office-building client says D&D has handled their grounds and snow removal for four years running without a missed visit, and several others say D&D's pricing beat the quotes they got elsewhere. The one detailed complaint on file is a serious one. A customer hired D&D for a sprinkler and timer installation and says the crew sent was a subcontractor rather than D&D's own staff, and inexperienced -- a high-school-age worker who couldn't get the timer working. When the owner, Dave, didn't follow up as promised, the customer says the office went dark over a holiday closure despite the company's advertised 24/7 emergency service, and said they'd file with the BBB and the state attorney general. Every review on file dates to about a six-week stretch in spring 2026, so there's no longer public track record to weigh against the company's own 20-year claim. Worth asking directly: whether your crew will be D&D's own employees or a subcontractor, and what the actual response time looks like if something goes wrong after hours. For routine mowing, cleanups, and snow plowing, the reviews on file are consistently positive -- just confirm who's showing up before signing on for anything more specialized like irrigation work.

David and his crews are so nice to work with. This is our 4th year working with them on our office location and we couldnt be happier! We never have to worry about them not coming weather for landscaping or snow plowing.

Unreliable -hired them to install sprinklers & timers; sent subcontractor who actually works for someone else; person sent was a sr in high school. inexperienced. Sent someone else to set up timer-also subcontractor. when timer didn’t work, Dave said he’d come out; he was a no-show. Called office yesterday-got text message from an ofc assistant last night saying they’re closed through Memorial Day, & would get back to me Tuesday! So much for advertised 24/7 and emergency service. i’m filing complaints with BBB & atty general’s consumer office.Look elsewhere-no accountability here.
