A homeowner writing on HomeAdvisor in 2023 handed Brito Home Improvement a deck a previous contractor had walked away from, and said the father-and-son crew gave it back finished. That is the shape of the work this Lawrence company gets called for: decks, fences, patios and the exterior jobs around them. Reviewers name Edison as the person they dealt with, working alongside his father. The written history runs 2020 through 2025 — 42 reviews across five sites, with Google, HomeAdvisor and Angi all sitting at 4.9. The jobs vary, but three notes keep repeating. The price came in where people expected. Somebody answered the phone. The site got cleaned up. The specifics carry it. A 2023 Google reviewer swapping a wood deck for composite wrote that they were kept informed through an unexpected problem and that the crew cleaned up when they finished. A homeowner who paid $13,000 for deck and porch repair, reviewing on Angi in 2024, called the crew punctual and the pricing reasonable. A 2021 Angi customer described a fence line complicated by the grade of the ground and credited the crew with working out a solution rather than walking it back. The work has run wider than decking on occasion. One customer's 2023 siding job grew into deck painting and attic drywall, and a September 2022 Google reviewer thanked them for a basement remodel. One account breaks the pattern, and it is the one to read before calling. In an August 2022 Angi review, a homeowner who wanted a six-foot cedar fence and had stated a $4,000 budget at the outset rated the company 2.5 stars and said they could not recommend hiring it — they liked the crew personally, but the quote did not land where they had asked. Get the scope and the number in writing before anything is ordered. The other thing worth knowing is timing. The newest written account is from August 2025, so the last year is unwritten either way; ask for a recent local reference and find out who will actually be on site. For exterior work around Lawrence — a deck rebuild, a fence line, a patio — this is a small crew with a long, consistent record and unusually specific praise for keeping customers in the loop. Confirm the estimate against your budget in writing, and confirm the timeline before you commit.

I can't say enough good things about Edison and his team. They did a great job in a very timely manner. My wife and I were very happy with the open communication every step of the way. Their pricing was very reasonable and the results were everything that we wanted. We can't wait to enjoy our new deck this spring!

Great and easy family to work with. Very professional and respectful. Edison was always reachable by phone or text which was very convenient for me. Did a wonderful job on the patio, small deck and installing the sods over the Summer. Will most like hire to do other future projects.

- behind the score: One fencing dispute — a detailed low review over materials, pace and an unfinished job
What does a fence cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Brito Home Improvement. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Walk the line and pace it off — a pace is about 3 feet.
Estimated range
$4,050 – $7,950
Typical fencing project around $6,000
