The first thing to settle with ENCORE Contracting Services is paperwork: its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is expired on the state registry. Raise that before any money changes hands. The Lawrence company has been going since 2015, according to its BBB profile, which lists four employees, names Facundo Bergallo as president, and files it under home builders. Customer accounts are short and split. A February 2024 Google reviewer wrote simply "Loved it". In September 2025 a one-star reviewer listed two projects — a bay window installation, worked from a photo given to the contractor, and a deck — and wrote that he promoted his estimate as higher than most but giving the customer the best. For a window, a deck or a wider remodel, ask where the registration stands, get the scope and payment schedule in writing, and ask to walk a recent job of the same kind before you commit.
Encore Contracting Contracting Services, INC. Lawrence MA. AH contractor. Two projects, a bay window installation according to a photo given to A.H. and a deck. A.H. promoted his estimate as being higher than most but gives customer the best. As far as the bay window project it was the worst. A.H. told me that there would be no problem in construction. He hired a framing company that had its own idea how to install the bay window. Problem was he did not directly talked with the framing company (in fact he never met them as told to me by the framing company); he directly talked with the middle man who did the hiringof the framing company. What was framed was a dormer that I did not expect and the placement of the bay window in this dormer was ridiculous, even one of the framers said it did not make sense. I told this to the framer, and framer said that he gets his instructions from the contractor A.H. and not me. And he had not been in contact with the contractor except for the middleman. Emailed A.H. about what was happening; A.H. told me to take photos and send to him. A.H. was angry with what he saw and complained about the lack of communication that led to what happened. A.H. said that what was planned to happen was discussed with the middleman and what happened was nothing even close to whast was discussed. A.H. did not offer to rectify the error, that is the installation of the bay window as shown in the photo given to him. He had the bay window installed in the framed dormer. Size of the bay window was decreased as well. So I was stuck with a dormer that I did not want and smaller bay window. The quality of the construction was poor only because it was something I did not ask for, the installation of the bay window was poorly done. There were other problems that occurred with the projects as well. A.H. never came to do a checklist of the two projects with me. I would never recommend Encore Construction Services, Lawrence, MA, AH Contractor, completely unreliable.
