Verified record
Brothers Painting And Staining is a Waltham, Massachusetts painting company run by brothers Milton and Wilmer, and across more than twenty reviews spanning five years, one thing comes up again and again: how carefully they prep before they ever pick up a brush. A 2025 review describes them prepping every surface thoroughly and refusing to start painting until satisfied with the prep; a 2023 review calls their prep "fantastic" and the resulting paint job "immaculate." The written record is deep and consistent — 24 reviews from 2020 through 2025 across Google, Angi and Thumbtack, nearly all five stars, describing everything from single rooms to full-home interior and exterior repaints, ceiling repairs (a 2023 review describes painting four ceilings, cracks and all, in two days flat), deck power-washing and staining, and drywall or plaster patching alongside the paint work. One 2024 review describes a full home painting and plastering job that included door fixture changes, hole patches, exterior trim installation and floor staining. Another 2024 review recounts them tearing out old carpet and installing new flooring throughout several rooms. A 2023 reference from a Watertown Housing Authority procurement manager describes over a year of consistently excellent work across multiple sites — a notably credible commercial reference for a residential painting outfit. The one blemish is a 2024 Thumbtack review describing a no-call, no-show for an estimate that had been scheduled days in advance — worth noting, though it's a scheduling miss rather than anything about the quality of completed work, and nothing like it appears anywhere else in the record. One thing to clarify before booking: the company's own website says it's been in business 10 years, while Angi and HomeAdvisor list six years and Thumbtack lists five — worth asking directly rather than assuming. For interior or exterior painting, deck refinishing, or paint-adjacent work like drywall patching and light carpentry around Waltham, this is a crew with an unusually deep and consistent record of careful, communicative work — just confirm the estimate appointment gets locked in.
The condo owners are happy with the results of the four decks power wash and painting. Milton showed us loose boards on the steps and was able to fix those. We appreciated his attention to detail. Brother’s Painting was quick and did the job well.
Brothers Painting ( Milton and Wilmer) did an amazing job. Their quote was competitive and fair. They listened to our concerns and communicated daily regarding progress. The job was started on time every day and the site was cleaned and secured each evening. Very satisfied with selecting this team.
Brother Painting and Staining My experience with this company has been invaluable. Not only did Milton and Wilmer make my vision come true, but they did an amazing job. They came in and gave me a rough estimate of how much everything would cost me. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount of time, work, and effort they put into the project. I had to hire this company to do my backyard deck and the front deck of my house. They were very professional and came on time every day until the work was done. They also, took their time to communicate with me when things needed to be done and changed. They would advise me and guide me to a different route when things weren't available. They also gave me advice for long-term goals and what I should do to make my vision of how I wanted my front and backyard deck to look. Once the job was done and completed the way I had envisioned my house to look was exactly how Milton and Wilmer did it. It made me fall in love with my house even more. I would recommend this company to my family and friends. They did a phenomenal job and I don't regret making any decisions and changes that needed to be done.
Milton and Wilmer are very talented painters. They pay meticulous attention to detail. They prep every surface thoroughly and do not paint until they are totally satisfied with the prep work. Their painting is flawless and they are very clever with figuring out “fixes” to various problems. They are very communicative and reasonably priced. I loved working with them!
Milton and his brother did a great job in my house. They are very reliable, responsible and great workers, I will definitely recommend it his company to everyone! Great work!!
