Call Bucca Fix at 5:30pm with no AC, and Mina is often at the door by 8 the next morning — reviewers describe that kind of turnaround again and again. The Hanover HVAC and plumbing shop was started in 2015 by Romany Hanna, who says he spent more than 25 years in the trade, including seven years as a military HVAC technician in Kuwait and Iraq, before going out on his own; the team now handles boiler and water heater installs, ductless minisplits, heating and cooling, and commercial refrigeration across Greater Boston, with 24/7 emergency calls. The written record backs up the speed. A heatwave AC failure got a same-day fix within 45 minutes; a Saturday call during a February 2026 snowstorm, with the heat out and the inside temperature sliding into the low 60s, brought a technician out that night. One customer's central air broke during a heatwave and was running again in under an hour after an emergency call, and a repeat customer wrote that a $10,000 quote from another company turned into a sub-$500 fix from Bucca — memorable enough that when the AC failed again years later, a sticker left on the unit was all it took to know who to call. Several reviewers describe using the company multiple times over the years, for everything from annual mini-split tune-ups to a full gas furnace and central air replacement, and one, writing in April 2026, said it was the second time across two different houses they'd hired the crew for a boiler-to-combi-system swap. The Better Business Bureau rates Bucca Fix A+, and it holds 5.0 stars across 195 Google reviews and 4.7 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor. The one sour note in the record is a 2021 Angi review that gave 1.5 stars, saying the technician showed up promptly but left clean-out work unfinished — a single account, but worth asking about if that's the kind of job you need done. Worth knowing before booking: BBB lists a Massachusetts Department of Fire Services license and a plumbing and gas fitters board license for the company, and Bucca Fix's own site lists two license numbers as well — none of them verified against the state registry, so it's fair to ask to see current paperwork directly. For a heating or cooling breakdown — especially the kind that can't wait until Monday — this is a company with a long list of people saying they picked up the phone and showed up fast. For a planned installation, the repeat-customer pattern and the sub-$500 fix story suggest it's also worth getting a quote before assuming a bigger job costs what a competitor says it will.
“I cannot say enough about how courteous, professional, th”
Very professional and kind, our issue was a simple wire that was loose and they showed me exactly what the issue was and took the time to answer all of my questions about the system as a new home owner. Quick response, called in the morning and they were here by 1 and had solved the issue within the hour. We will definitely call them again when it’s time to service the unit.
They are the best! They came in changed the whole unit in one day as promised. Thank you!
Exceeded expectations. Called at 5:30pm with a no AC issue. Mina showed up at 8:00am and solved that issue (replaced a part in the condenser) and did a walk through to check system performance within 45 minutes. He caught the dirty filter and replaced that too. Bucca will be my go to for all my HVAC issues (residential and commercial) going forward. Thanks Mina
Our AC broke during a heatwave, and they were able to come out within 20 minutes for an emergency call. They quickly figured out the problem and had everything fixed in about 45 minutes. They were super responsive and the price was fair.
6 years ago my central AC quit. One company quoted me $10,000 and Bucca came out and got me running for under $500. My AC quit last night, couldn’t remember who did it last, luckily they put a sticker on it. Called them and I was running again 2 hours or less after my call. Highly recommended!
