424 Google ratings averaging 4.9, and the detail that keeps repeating is the callback. One customer phoned at 12:45 about a gas dryer that the delivery crew wouldn't connect; five minutes later Burke & Sons rang back, and twenty minutes after that the tech asked whether he could come early. Another called in the morning, was told 2pm, and had two jobs finished by four. The shop is family-run out of 1 Federal Way in Groveland and says it has worked the Merrimack Valley, North Shore and southern New Hampshire since 1984, with second- and third-generation Burkes on staff. Its Massachusetts master plumber license is active on the state registry, and it has held Better Business Bureau accreditation since 2006 at an A+ grade. The work reviewers describe is the whole small-job spectrum plus the systems behind it: shutoff and washer valves, outdoor faucet piping, a garbage disposal and the PVC under it, a laundry drain reconnected to the main and brought up to code, a tankless recirculating loop, water heater swaps, boiler and furnace inspections, central air repairs and a new AC system. Technicians get named constantly — Adam, Matt, Nico, Corey, Mark, Brett — which usually means the same faces keep coming back. Cleanup comes up nearly as often as the repair itself; one customer noted they vacuumed the work area before leaving. Two things are worth raising. In June a landlord gave them one star over a bathtub valve: after opening it up, the crew said it couldn't be reassembled and quoted roughly $1,400 for a full valve replacement with an answer needed immediately, leaving two tenants without water in the meantime. That is one account and it is the outlier here, but it is the kind of situation worth heading off — ask what happens if the diagnosis turns into a replacement, and get that scenario priced before anyone opens a wall. Separately, a June customer paid over $325 for an annual furnace cleaning against $225 from a different plumber the year before, and said so plainly while still rating the work well. They are a good fit if you want one outfit for both the plumbing and the heating and cooling — the reviews show them handling a furnace failure and a scheduled water tank replacement in the same visit. Ask for the estimate in writing before work starts, and confirm what an escalation would cost.

Adam did a great job finding the leak behind our washing machine, replacing the washer shit off valve, replaced the outside spigot, and replaced a leaking valve. He was professional and did great work!

We had Burke and Sons repair 2 shutoff valves and install a vanity. They were knowledgeable, professional and courteous from start to finish. We will definitely be using Burke and Sons again for all future plumbing repairs.
