Capital Roofing is a roofing contractor whose website says it serves commercial businesses throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, working on low-slope and flat commercial roofs, combination roofs and custom roofing systems. The company says it has been in business for 49 years. A 2024 Google reviewer thanked Leo, Nick and their crew for work on a church flat roof, which that reviewer called commercial, and said they were honest, on time and cleaned up afterwards. The same 2024 reviewer said they had two other quotes and this one was the honest and reasonably priced of them all. A 2026 Google reviewer wrote that they were given one day, that the day then changed, and that after that they were ignored, with no follow-up or explanation. A 2025 commenter on r/Connecticut wrote, "Stay far away from Capital Roofing." Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0604538, as active, held by Capital Roofing.
Typical your area range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Capital Roofing. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

“Stay far away from Capital Roofing.”
Capitol Roofing is a masterclass in how not to run a business. I was given one day, then that day suddenly changed, and after that I was completely ignored. No follow-up, no explanation, no basic courtesy message. If you can’t manage your crew, just say that. If you’re overbooked, just say that. Disappearing on a customer instead of communicating isn’t being busy, it’s unprofessional. The most frustrating part is that I could have scheduled another roofer who actually honors commitments and communicates like an adult. Instead, I lost time waiting on someone who apparently thinks ghosting is acceptable customer service. Roofing is about trust. Capitol Roofing doesn’t deserve it. If you value your time or expect basic communication, look elsewhere.
Thanks to Leo, Nick, and their crew for the amazing work they did on my church (commercial) flat roof today. They were honest, on time, and cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I had 2 other quotes but this was the honest and reasonably priced of them all. I will always do business with them.
