A local news site has reported that the company would get a tax break for fixing up a long-empty industrial property on Forest Street. A recent customer says they had landscaping and a full yard cleanup done, then set up bi-weekly mowing service. That customer also says the company is a bit on the pricier side and that availability can be somewhat limited because of how busy they are. A 2024 customer said they first hired the company to replace the walkway in front of the house, then for spring and fall clean-up, pruning of shrubs, and weeding, edging and mulching of beds. That 2024 customer said the General Manager was prompt about responding to emails and that the contract clearly outlined the work included. A 2024 customer thanked the company for stonework connecting the house and the driveway and said the rainwater was now running in the right direction. A 2022 customer said Carpenter & Costin designed and executed a remodel of their driveway entryway and communicated daily during each phase of the project. A 2022 customer said they used the company for lawn and field mowing, tree work, landscaping and snow plowing, at prices more reasonable than its competitors in Manchester. A 2022 customer said that in the winter months the company came very early in the morning for plowing and salting. A 2023 customer said Leigh-Anna did not rush but worked with intention on their lawn care and spring clean-up. A recent customer says the company posts a single playing-card-size sign with no spraying date to mark pesticide and fertilizer spraying, and that fertilizer pellets end up on the front step, the sidewalks and pet water bowls. A 2023 customer complained about the attitude over the phone and about being hung up on.

These guys use a SINGLE (low visibility white - without spraying date on it) playing card size signage to let people know that they sprayed pesticides and fertilizer all over the place. Not to mention, they fling the fertilizer pellets all across your front step and all over the sidewalks and in your pet's water bowls without a single care... They don't even half-ass attempt to get it back in the grass. This low effort work is done on a property that is couple acres (?) and has many families with dogs. If this is what they do on a job category that probably is a larger portion of their budget, I would hate to see the despicable stuff that gets done on a private residence.
Ben has been an absolute pleasure to work with on the sales side of things. I had landscaping and a full yard cleanup completed today, and the crew did a fantastic job. I was impressed enough with the work that I’ve now set up bi-weekly mowing service as well. They are a bit on the pricier side, and availability can be somewhat limited because of how busy they are, but after seeing the quality of their work, it’s easy to understand why. Great companies tend to stay busy, and the quality and professionalism have made the cost well worth it for me. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality landscaping and lawn care.

My relationship with Carpenter & Costin began 2 years ago when I hired them to replace the walkway in the front of the house. I was very pleased with the results. Since then I have hired C & C to do all the property maintenance including spring & fall clean-up, pruning of shrubs, and weeding, edging and mulching of several flower and shrub beds. There are many positives to working with this company. The General Manager visited my property on occasions when we needed to discuss certain projects. He was always prompt about responding to emails and suggesting ideas for making improvements to the landscape. I appreciate having a contract that clearly outlines the work that is included and the contract can be changed from year to year in order to control costs. The contract is reassurance for me that the work will be completed and if I am curious about when a particular job will be done, an email response from the GM would let me know when I was on the schedule and could expect to see them. I have always found the C&C staff to be friendly and willing to listen to any concerns I might have regarding the work they are there to complete. I look forward to having them back again in 2025!
Hired Carpenter and Costin for maintenance work and large landscape project. Can’t say enough about their hard work, incredible customer service, great execution and attention to detail. Russ and his team are extremely knowledgable, and very willing to do what’s necessary to make the customer happy. Highly recommend them!
