In April 2026 a homeowner called Carters about a repair to the 1800s pine floors Eric Carter had refinished for them in 2018, and he remembered the house, the floors and the job straight away. A November 2024 caller reached the owner immediately and got extensive advice about the project, but was told he could not take the job. Call early, and stay flexible on dates. If you have old floors — pine, oak, something painted or carpeted over for decades — this is a hands-on refinisher who will match new boards to what is already down and answer the phone himself. Settle the finish and how many coats before he starts, and ask how long the floor needs before the furniture goes back.
