Cechinel Siding & Windows Inc

Cechinel is the siding crew Somerville neighbors notice from the sidewalk. One 2023 reviewer hired them after seeing their work on a nearby house; another that year said the neighbors kept stopping by to ask who was doing the job. Bruno runs the crews and Cecilia runs the office, and the two names appear in review after review — the family-owned company says it has been at it since 2002, working Somerville, Charlestown, Revere and Belmont, with a BBB A+ and accreditation. The Google record is 4.9 from 80 ratings, and the pattern in it is a crew that shows up early and finishes when it said it would. A June 2026 reviewer had a difficult siding job done in December on schedule, with the crew working through the weather. In 2023 reviews, homeowners described Cedar Impressions installed over old cedar with early starts and long days, a one-side reshingle with new window flashing timed to hand off to the painters before winter, and a full Medford strip-and-reside with twelve windows and a front door that finished as promised. Windows come up nearly as often as siding: cellar windows, a bay window roof no one else wanted to bother with, a drafty antique door frame repaired instead of replaced, and Mass Save-eligible window picks that a 2024 reviewer said Cecilia made easy. A November 2025 reviewer said the price on a porch rebuild was very fair against several other quotes. Reddit adds a detail the reviews don't: a November 2025 r/massachusetts commenter comparing siding bids said Cechinel was the only vendor who priced certified asbestos removal into a $47,000 CertainTeed siding job rather than wrapping over it, with Harvey windows quoted at $24,000. A July 2026 Somerville commenter whose condo association had vinyl replaced with Hardie fiber cement said the work drew no complaints. Two things to know. A February 2025 reviewer said Cechinel stopped responding while a multi-unit siding and window contract was being finalized, after a good first estimate. And an August 2024 reviewer gave three stars only because the company works in Somerville proper, which the website did not make clear — ask before you get attached. A good call for a full reside, a window package or a porch rebuild on a Somerville-area house where you want the owner on site. Confirm your address is in their range and that any asbestos or sheathing surprises are in the quote before signing.
