The Connecticut registry shows home improvement contractor license HIC.0655769 as active, held by CertaPro Painters of South Central CT. Google shows 4.8 stars from 141 ratings, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.9 from 37 ratings. Reviews describe interior rooms, exteriors, decks, aluminum siding and popcorn-ceiling removal, with Kevin handling estimates and crews led by names such as Lucas, Tom and Anja, and Hector; an October 2026 review says a crew of 5 painted walls, doors and trim in a 2000 sqft home in 2 days, and a May 2026 review says their carpenter repaired rotted wood found during power washing. Two 2026 four-star reviews name misses: a walnut stain applied to entry doors instead of the original mahogany, and power washing that could have been better. A June 2025 one-star review says the company did not honor its warranty and proposed a cost-share repair, and an April 2024 one-star review describes a fence stain job with a language barrier that looked like absolute garbage.
“I had that done through a local CertaPro. My whole house exterior, including sanding down to bare wood in some sections to get rid of peeling lead paint.”
Extremely professional and talented. They came with a crew of 5 to paint walls doors and trim for a 2000 sqft home and were done in 2 days. They cleaned up nicely. Highly recommended.
Second time using CertaPro . Happy with the process, price, and timing. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication regarding the entry doors color. Instead of getting the original mahogany stain, a walnut stain was applied.
Lucas, the paint team leader, was courteous, conscientious, and hard working. They repainted things they weren’t happy with without our prompting, and were generally neat. To earn a five star from us they might have done a better job on the power washing, but we certainly would recommend them to friends!
Quality work. They were fast!!! We are selling our home and the owner Kevin helped us pick out colors that would look good to buyers. Kevin was not pushy for us to hire his company to do the job. Beautiful work, friendly painters, cleaned up as they went, leaving no mess. I would highly recommend Certapro!
Excellent work. Very satisfied
