That leaves permits and press to go on rather than first-hand accounts of how a job went. A few details are worth raising directly. The company's own site puts its founding at 2002 — 24 years — while its BBB profile records the business as started in January 2011, so ask which date covers the entity you would be contracting with. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts electrician licence, #15971, and says it verified that licence active in June 2026, but it also lists a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, #168511, as inactive and at one point cancelled — HIC registration is the one that governs residential work, so confirm its current status with the state before signing anything residential. A mass.gov record dated July 6, 2020 also lists the company, without further detail in that entry. Chapman Construction Group looks like the right call for public, municipal or commercial electrical construction — transit, wastewater, infrastructure — where a union crew and WBE/DBE/VBE standing matter to the award. For a residential remodel, confirm the HIC registration status with the state and ask for homeowner references directly, since none are published anywhere public.
