When several welding companies refused to attempt to restore one customer's antique outdoor sconces, Paul Chiappetta repaired and restored them and added creative touches the customer had not considered. Chiappetta's Welding Service describes its work as repairing equipment, machinery, railings, trailers and structural steel, in its own shop or on site anywhere in lower Fairfield and Westchester County. The company says it has been in business 45 years, and it lists Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Rye and Harrison as its service area. Paul made stainless end caps for a rub rail project on a customer's very old 15-foot Whaler, a small job complicated by the compound angles between the gunnel and the stern. A different customer says he did a custom modification to their metal brackets on the spot in 15 minutes. A general contractor says Paul fixed a very complex weld job that was beyond what the firm could reliably rework in-house. One customer says they have worked with Paul for 30 years on automotive, residential construction and general fabrication projects. A customer who hired Paul and his son Nick for many jobs says they helped retrofit XUV plows for turf fields. A customer who uses the company for repairs on machines and trucks says the work usually gets done within a day or two.
Paul was friendly, professional and saved me significant time and money! He did a custom modification to my metal brackets that saved me hours of searching or buying brand new metal plant boxes; and he did it on the spot in 15 mins! Thanks Paul!
Fantastic experience! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their work and how quickly they got the project done for us. I’ll certainly be using them again in the future.
We’ve had a great experience working with Chiappetta Welding at the YMCA. They are professional, dependable, and take a lot of pride in the quality of their work. What stands out most to me is their genuine connection to the Greenwich community. Being local, they truly care about the work they do and about making sure the outcome is in the customer’s best interest. It never feels like it’s just about getting the job done — there is a real commitment to finding the right solution and making sure everyone is satisfied with the result. That level of care, honesty, and professionalism is something I really appreciate and respect. I would definitely recommend Chiappetta Welding to anyone looking for quality work from someone who is invested in the community and takes pride in doing things the right way.
After contacting several other welding companies, all of whom refused to attempt to restore our antique outdoor sconces, we were referred to Paul Chiappetta by Patty’s Portico. What a fabulous recommendation! From the start, Paul was very helpful, knowledgeable and engaging. We had no doubt that the sconces were in the right hands. In fact, Paul went above and beyond just repairing and restoring our pieces. He added beautiful creative touches we had never even considered. We cannot wait to have them installed. Thank you Paul for your incredible work.
This is an amazing resource for our community. Paul will treat you like family. He is a consummate professional, honest, and makes everything easy, even when it’s actually complicated. I cannot recommend them enough.
