Paul Choate and his craftsmen have done several ‘old house’ renovation projects for me - porch, pergola, dining room, bathroom, exterior doors, kitchen island, etc. He is an excellent designer who can take any idea or plan to the next level. He has attention to detail and employs experienced craftsmen that he supervises closely to achieve a first class result. Quality all the way. In this era of fly by night contractors and marginal work, I recommend Paul without reservation as the first choice for quality home improvements/expansions.

For a few years, my wife and I had planned to do some work on our house, and we really wanted to find someone we could partner with. Once we met Paul and Andrew, we immediately felt comfortable. The initial conversations and design phase showed that they truly care for your home as if it were their own. Paul’s vision and expertise during the on-site review of our goals and dreams were very reassuring. I felt like I had found the right company to help us achieve the dream home we wanted. Our initial phase focused on the basement, which desperately needed attention, along with a drainage and potential chimney issue. Paul brought in very knowledgeable subcontractors who helped correct these problems, and he reviewed their work as if it were his own home to make sure I was happy. We then moved on to the basement remodel. The communication was excellent, and the work was completed much faster than we expected. We were very impressed with the attention to detail. It was also great to feel comfortable approaching Paul and his team with any opinions or questions about the work. It really pays off to hire the right team, and I can’t wait to move forward with the next phases with Choate Builders in the very near future. We can finally see a clear path to our dream home!

Paul and his team did an amazing job on our screen porch remodel. They had a meticulous attention to detail, and made the project look better than the renders. James and Andrew were very helpful with the day to day construction management, design as well as the management of the sub contractors. If I ever had a question, I could reach out to get clarity on timeline or ask questions on next steps. You pay for quality and you can tell with the attention to detail they executed.
