Ciciotti Construction is a masonry outfit first — the crew you call for a stone wall, a paver patio, a concrete slab, and the excavation and demolition that comes before any of it. It works out of 145 Burrill Street in Swampscott, and its Houzz page lists masonry, hardscaping, flatwork, excavation and site work, demolition, drain and sewer, and trucking, with the Greater Boston area as its territory. BBB records the business as started in 2002, three employees, Marco Ciciotti as manager. The written history here is short and old. A single Google review, posted in 2019, carries almost all of it: that customer described a lot of work around the North Shore — residential, commercial and town jobs, especially in Marblehead and Swampscott — and said Angelo started the company in 1982 before his son Marco took it over. Warm as that account is, it's one voice from seven years ago, and nothing newer has been written down anywhere. Houzz shows a single project set and no reviews; BuildZoom has none either. What to settle before you hire is the paperwork. The state registry carries a home improvement contractor registration in the Ciciotti Construction name — number 127517 — and it is expired, not active. BuildZoom separately shows an inactive Construction Supervisor licence, CSFA-072546, and flags that no active licence is on file. For home improvement work in Massachusetts that's worth a direct question, so ask what registration and insurance are current before you sign anything. If you want a local masonry and site-work crew you can walk over to — they're listed with the Swampscott Chamber of Commerce at the same Burrill Street address — Ciciotti is a reasonable call for a hardscape or concrete job. Get the scope and price in writing, and ask for current registration certificates before any deposit changes hands.
