Ciciotti Construction is a small masonry and site-work outfit based in Swampscott, run by Marco Ciciotti. A 2019 Google review says his father Angelo started the business in 1982, while the company's BBB file lists a business-start date of January 2002 — the two sources disagree on how long the company has been operating. Houzz lists a wide range of hands-on services: masonry, hardscaping, landscaping, flatwork, excavation and site work, demolition, drain and sewer work, and trucking. The only written review on file is that 2019 Google post, which describes the crew doing a lot of residential, commercial and town work around the North Shore, especially Marblehead and Swampscott, and says that when there's a hiccup, they take care of it quickly. Beyond that single account, there is no other customer feedback: Houzz shows one project photo set and no reviews yet, and BuildZoom has received none either. Licensing is worth confirming directly. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (127517), verified against the state registry, is expired — a status BuildZoom's own listing for that number corroborates, describing it as inactive and at one point cancelled. BuildZoom also lists a Construction Supervisor license (CSFA-072546) tied to the company as inactive and at one point cancelled, plus two unverified Newton builder/contractor entries it shows expiring in December 2022. BuildZoom's profile flags 'no active license on file' and assigns the company a score of 0. The BBB lists the company as not accredited and Not Rated, saying it lacks enough information to issue a rating, though it also shows no complaints or government actions on file. For North Shore masonry and hardscape work, the one detailed account on file speaks to a long-running, locally known operation, but with a single 2019 review, no active license currently on file, and disagreement over how long the company has even existed, it's worth verifying current licensing and getting references directly before hiring.
These guys have done a lot of work around the north shore (they've done residential, commercial, and town work), especially Marblehead and Swampscott, and their reputation precedes them. Angelo started the business in 1982 and his son, Marco, took it over some time back. If there's a hiccup, as all-too-often there is, they immediately take care of it to ensure their customer is happy. It's rare you find true masons, but these guys are the real deal.
