In August 2026 a Google reviewer posted before-and-after pictures of a rec room Citywide Homes renovated and wrote that the guys' work was flawless. Citywide Homes is based in South Windsor, and the state of Connecticut shows its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0639110, as active in the company's name. It has a 5-star Google rating from 45 ratings. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+, and there the company describes itself as a full-service residential remodeler handling everything from small handyman jobs to whole-home renovations running well over $100,000. Its website lists Vernon, West Hartford, South Windsor, Manchester and Glastonbury as its service area. In November 2025 a customer wrote that Citywide had just completed a new kitchen and bathroom and kept them informed throughout. A September 2025 reviewer had Citywide remove a load-bearing wall and put up a beam, and said John was easy to work with and the company was quick with a quote. In August 2025 a returning customer hired John and the team for a full bathroom remodel after a smaller kitchen project the year before. In January 2025 a customer credited John's project management and his crew's craftsmanship on their basement. In December 2024 a customer wrote that John and his team replaced a section of termite-damaged rim joist, squeezing them in because the job was time sensitive. A November 2024 reviewer described John and his subs adding siding, replacing windows and painting. In June 2024 a customer said John coordinated the tiling, plumbing and electrical on their job. In an April 2023 review of a kitchen remodel, a customer wrote that John walked them through options for flooring, layout, countertops and lighting, and that for the multi-colored backsplash tiles they laid out the design first and checked the spacing before installing it. A February 2023 bathroom customer singled out the tilework, with tiles arranged to look like continuous veining, and said the job finished in exactly the time quoted. In a May 2022 four-star review, a prospective customer said the owner had just lost two key employees the week before and could not offer the timeline they needed, though he returned the call promptly.
Our rec room reno. First two pictures old rec room; second two pictures new rec room. The guys were amazing and their work was flawless. We'd hire them again and highly recommend.
Citywide just completed my new kitchen and bathroom. It was a new experience with dealing with a contractor they were GREAT. Always kept me informed and updated. Very pleased with the work. Tom Roy
We had Citywide remove a load bearing wall and put up a beam. John was very easy to work with and everyone involved was professional. They always showed up when they said they would and were quick to get us a quote. I would highly recommend.
I hired John and the team at Citywide for a full bathroom remodel after they did an amazing job on a smaller kitchen project last year. Once again, I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. John listened to what I wanted and made my vision come to life beautifully. The team was courteous and professional from start to finish. Highly recommend Citywide Homes for high-quality home remodeling!
From our first call to our last visit, John and his crew were punctual, informative and a pleasure to work with. John was obviously particular with his subcontractors, as they were also knowledgeable gentleman. We are not likely to ever shop again, as city wide will be our first call. They even left a positive impression on our neighbors.
