Wilcox Excavating Construction describes itself as a general contractor and construction manager that can run every trade on a building project, and says it has 38 years in business. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, held by WILCOX EXCAVATING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC, is active on the state registry. In a 2022 review, a buyer said a machine purchased from Wilcox was advertised with 3 hours on it and arrived with 167, and that nothing was said about higher hours when they called before the purchase. In a 2022 review, a different reviewer wrote of many dealings over the years with Jerry Wilcox and his son and called them hard working and honest.
Purchased a machine that was advertised with 3 hours on it. When it showed up it had 167 hours on it. False advertisement, when i called and spoke to Wilcox about the machine before the purchase was made, nothing was ever said about the hours were alot higher. I thought i was buying a basically new machine. Turns out, it was used a lot more then i was told. Would never recommend.
The world should be full of people like Jerry Wilcox and his son. We have had many dealings over the years and always a good experience. Hard working, honest and capable of doing just about any job.
