Fifty-eight Google reviews, every one five stars, and the specifics keep repeating: a dry well installed after a client's new landscaping flooded in a storm, a driveway plowed clear the morning after a blizzard so a caregiver could get her mother to a doctor's appointment. Clean Slate Landscape Construction is a Mashpee outfit hired mostly for hardscaping across Cape Cod, and increasingly for winter plowing once people already know them. The written record is deep and recent - 26 of the 58 reviews on file landed in the last six months, none of them negative, running back to 2023. What people describe hiring them for is stonework: a rock wall built to stop a driveway from eroding, delivered on budget with before-during-after photos; two patios, granite steps and natural stone steps installed within a week of signing, on schedule and at a quote one client called competitive; a cracked, sinking concrete patio replaced with a full backyard redesign. Masonry repairs show up too - one review describes them re-facing a cap and fixing numerous broken bricks. When heavy rain exposed a drainage problem on a recently finished job, the crew came back immediately, cleaned up the washout, and installed a dry well and a rock-lined dispersion channel to fix it for good. Winter work draws some of the most specific praise. After a blizzard, one homeowner reached Dylan at Clean Slate and had a plow at her door by the next morning - driveway, walkway and front step all cleared and salted in time for a medical appointment she couldn't miss. Multiple reviewers name Paul, Dylan and Chris directly and describe the same pattern: they show up when they say they will, stay in communication through the job, and leave the site clean at the end of each day. There isn't a documented downside to flag - the reviews span years and projects without a stated complaint, and the Better Business Bureau lists the company at an A- under landscape contracting. Clean Slate reads as the call for Cape Cod hardscaping - a stone patio, a retaining wall, a driveway problem, storm drainage - and for plowing once you're already a client. Worth confirming current scheduling and whether snow removal is offered as a standalone service, since most of that praise comes from existing landscaping customers rather than plow-only sign-ups.
Clean Slate installed two beautiful walkways, two dry wells, and lined driveway with cobblestone and apron. We could not be happier with their work. The guys are perfectionists, easy to work with, and left the work area and road clean at the end of each day. We plan to have them back to do a patio.
Our original Comments follow below. Two fairly significant rains followed on the heels of the landscaping recently completed by Clean Slate Landscaping Construction on our property. The rains highlighted drainage issues of which we were unaware. When called, Clean Slate returned immediately, cleaned up the washouts, and water dispersed mulch and then provided a plan to ameliorate the drainage problems. They installed a dry-well and a rock covered water dispersion channel (like a small creek). By the end of summer or fall, it will look like a creek bed that had always been there. Again, from us - TEN stars! We recommend Clean Slate and would use them again! A Five Star Result, for sure! In late spring of 2026 we started a DIY on a part of our ‘natural’ wooded property between us and our neighbors to the east. The blizzard had damaged a number of the trees, plus over time vines and weeds had done what they do. So wife, son, grandson and a handyman friend and his girlfriend set about pruning and snedding the trees, pulling down some of the vines and raking and raking and raking. We wanted to add some Rhododendrons and other wood’s typical plants to the area and we knew we would need professional assistance with the trees – specifically removing the ‘widow makers’. After some due-diligence we contacted Clean Slate Landscaping Construction in Mashpee, MA – and what a great choice we made! Where once there was a strip of woods there is now a beautiful park-like garden area with cleaned-up trees and many decorative plants. Clean Slate’s courtesy, professionalism, knowledge, timeliness, competence, speed of project completion and pricing surpassed our expectations. We will definitely call on Clean Slate in the future as well as recommend them if the opportunity presents. Top drawer!
I contracted Clean Slate to construct a rock wall to stop my driveway from eroding. Job came out as described, was on budget and job site was very clean when completed. Further, the communication was excellent along with pictures before, during and after.
The employees are very experienced and competent workers. They did a great job cleaning up our yard and all the winters damage.
This company does amazing work (I wish I could post the pictures but I got a new phone) They made the project my wife and I envisioned come to life. Dylan was transparent and collaborative every step of the way. Thank you Paul and the team at Clean Slate!
