Call Coastal Paving and the quote tends to arrive fast. An August 2025 customer wrote that William came by the next day with a competitive number; an August 2022 customer called on a Thursday, had the quote the same day, and watched the old driveway come out and a new one plus a walkway go in inside the week. A June 2023 customer put it in dollars: the price came in at nearly half one of the other bids. The company works out of Hyannis and describes itself as a family-owned asphalt outfit — paving, resurfacing, milling, seal coating, excavation, site work and drainage for homeowners, businesses and towns. More than a dozen of the written accounts are about driveways, but a December 2021 review covers the other half of the work: a job for a homeowners' association that meant resetting a catch-basin grate, patching nine sinkholes and filling cracks across seven streets. The better days read the same way. A March 2025 customer in Yarmouth described a resurfaced driveway, a punctual crew, cleanup afterwards and a reasonable price; an October 2023 customer said the crew cleaned up meticulously. In December 2025 a homeowner reworking the curve of a driveway and a retaining wall said the company took time going over its recommendations, and an April 2026 customer says the driveway was completely transformed. Three accounts pull the other way, and they land in the same stretch of the job — what happens after the handshake. A November 2025 customer said the project was never finished, that both numbers went unanswered with a full mailbox, that a mess was left in the road and three cones at the house, and that they ended up cleaning up themselves. In April 2023, a customer with an agreed-upon time frame said time went by with no word on when the job would start. In August 2022, a homeowner who still rated the work four stars found equipment and a hose left out across the weekend. For a straightforward Cape driveway — tear-out, repave, resurface — the pricing and the turnaround are what customers describe best. Coastal Paving's federal Woman-Owned Small Business and Economically Disadvantaged WOSB certifications are active, as are its Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office MBE and WBE certifications, which the state lists as expiring 2029-07-09. Before you sign, put the start date in the contract and agree who clears the site each day and at the end.
