L. DeAngelis & Sons is a small, three-generation stone and masonry outfit in Watertown — the kind of business where the same two names, Rob and Anthony DeAngelis, show up in nearly every review. The company says it was founded in 1960 by Luciano DeAngelis (though its BBB profile dates the founding to 1967) and is now run by his sons and grandson, and reviewers describe hiring them for the work that shows: rebuilt stairways, stone walls, paver patios, and foundation repointing. The written record is short — 10 reviews on Google since 2022, all five stars — but consistently detailed. A 2026 review describes them asking for no payment upfront until the homeowner was satisfied with a full front-and-back stairway rebuild in granite and fieldstone. Another customer called them back in 2025 for a second job on their front steps, nine years after DeAngelis had rebuilt a different stairway on the same house in 2016. A separate review describes them fitting in a smaller stone-foundation gap repair before winter despite a late-season call, and a 2024 review recounts them repointing the crumbling mortar of a 100-year-old foundation — working quietly and leaving the site immaculate. There isn't a documented complaint anywhere in the record; the BBB lists no rating and no reviews or complaints of its own. That makes this a business best judged on the specifics reviewers keep repeating rather than volume: careful stonework, in-person communication with the owners themselves, and repeat customers who saved their number. If you're after patio, stairway, or stone-wall work built to last, this is a company people call back years later — just confirm scheduling lead time, since more than one review mentions a wait before the crew could start.

Rob and Anthony DeAngelis far exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only was their bid price reasonable, but their work ethic, craftsmanship, details, materials, interpersonal skills, all were impeccable. They are honest, asking for no cash upfront until we the homeowners were satisfied with the project. They are easily the best tradesmen we have ever worked with and we highly recommend their services. They transformed our front and back stairs from dangerous crumbling concrete to safe and beautiful condition, using select granite and fieldstone elements, taking the time to make every detail perfect. We are forever grateful to you, Rob and Anthony!
Robert DeAngelis and his son did an excellent job repairing numerous small gaps in our stone foundation and they also repaired the larger gaps that had formed between the stone foundation and the wooden edges of the garage under the house. I really appreciate that they were willing to take on this smaller-scale job and that they worked to fit me in their schedule before the winter hit - despite my calling so late in the season. The work was beautifully done. I would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend them!
Rob and Anthony do outstanding work. Their attention to detail and ability to create great looking outdoor solutions is second to none. Great work, great communication and great guys. We can’t wait to get them back out for another patio project. Thanks Rob & Anthony! - Russ
We had L Deangelis and Sons put in a new patio replacing our old one. Rob demolished our old patio, and put in a beautiful paver patio and wall (along 2 sides of the patio). He put a drain in the corner of the wall where the patio angled towards. The work was well engineered and seemlessly executed. The work was excellent and the bid lower than others. While they did the job Rob was always reachable and communicative and they worked right through till they were done. I will be using L. Deangelis and Sons for future masonry jobs.
L. DeAngelis had rebuilt our outdoor cement brick stairway (about a story and a half worth) in 2016, and had done such an amazing job we put their information away in a file just in case we needed them again. Sure enough, we did this year. The front part of our steps, left over from the original contractor who built the house, had started crumbling. We were thrilled to get them back, and just like in 2016 they exceeded our expectations in 2025. Just for note my wife and I were very happy to see the business is indeed L. DeAngelis and SONS. The skill and tradition is being carried on, and we are thankful for it!
