College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Hartford holds 4.8 stars from 1,062 Google ratings. Its website describes junk removal in Hartford, from loading and hauling to sorting and donating, for jobs from a garage clear-out to a full estate cleanout. The service area it lists includes Hartford, Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol and Cheshire. A recent customer says two workers came to the home and removed an ancient TV and a large couch. Moving help is part of the work as well: a recent customer needed a sauna unboxed and moved into the basement, and says Louis and Louis were able to help the same day they called. A recent customer says Luis and Jose understood the situation of the customer's mother and packed everything with care on a last-minute emergency move. A recent customer says Monique set up the appointments and sent a team of three, Luis, Will and Javi, to unload a 20' packed container that arrived from overseas and was going to a storage unit. A 2026 customer who moved from Connecticut to New Hampshire said the 2-person crew was on time and packed the truck efficiently, but the job ran about 3 hours past the 9-hour quote. That 2026 customer said the cost was still fine, and recommended letting a person visit before getting the quote, something that customer could not do because of time constraints.
Luis and Jose were extremely professional and courteous and very helpful. They understood my mother’s situation and packed everything with care. They worked their tails off up until we needed them to stop. We really appreciate their help and the help of the company on a last-minute emergency move.
Two good looking HUNKS came to my home and removed an ancient TV, and a large couch!!! Great personality, and extremely kind and professional!! I am using them again when I move and recommending them to whoever I come in contact with. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MY HUNKS!!’n
We are getting old so we needed some help unboxing a sauna and moving it into our basement. We had used College Hunks for a small move in the past so we used them for this. Louis and Louis were excellent, hard workers and very professional. No wasted time. It was so convenient they actually were able to help us out the same day we called. The entire experience from scheduling, the work , and close out was very smooth and professional. I would highly recommend College Hunks.
College H.U.N.K.S. sets the platinum standard for high quality service & efficiency in addition to the great people I had the opportunity to work with from the moment I made the first phone call to get information. Monique who set up the appointments provides outstanding customer service and was amazing to work with. She sent an incredible team of 3 men: Luis, Will & Javi to assist us with a complicated task of unloading a 20' packed container that arrived from overseas that was going to a storage unit. I have had much experience doing this over the years for an overseas business and I want to say that I have never seen anyone provide this service so quickly, pleasantly and professionally! Thank you very much for making this important job one of the best experiences of my life. You are definitely the best!
I have used these guys before and have always been extremely happy. The 2 person crew that they sent was on time and fast and efficient. Willie and Louis had a great sense of humor while working so hard running up and down stairs. They packed their truck so efficiently it was like a Tetris puzzle. They were masters. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of how long they ended up working compared to what I was quoted and how late the day ran. We moved from Connecticut to New Hampshire and it was a long day. Everyone was exhausted, including them. The quote went up to 9 hours but went over by like 3. Luckily their prices are so reasonable, that the cost was still fine for such a move. I recommend letting a person visit you before getting the quote. I was unable to do this because of time constraints. This meant a lot of miscommunication between the person and his crew. In the end, all is well that ends well, and we are happy in our new home thank to College Hunks.
